I know it’s in a laughable state atm.
It’s currently being hindered by the trailer.
Basically the front part is a “tank” and the trailer is just dead weight atm causing excess friction and hindering it from turning when it articulates.
Apparently Gaijin can’t add power transmission to the trailer even if they could I doubt it would fix its turning problems as it needs regenerative steering to function properly
Never tought about it but how does licensing in WT work?
Do the devs have to get a license to add the systems into the game?
Naturally many of the vehicles may require them. It also depends on the source of the model.

It needs to be removed and replaced with a different SPAA, its clearly not ready for the Live server and never will be. Sweden has access to nearly 7 different systems gaijin could add from its allies and domestic tree.

IRIS-T SLM (would be the easiest C&P but id prefer something unique i will highlight the unique options.)

NOMADS (basically Elde but different chassis)

If the Elde cant function in this game engine it should simply be replaced.
Cant wait for an German Moments of Valor, I could see some A7V → 2A7V supported by Tornado (maybe an ASSTA3.1 or even SLE)/Eurofighter and Eurocopter

Technically yes but id rather like to let Germany keep their spaa as its something unique to them and sweden has other options, dont get me wrong id love SLM but id rather something more unique even if its worse than SLM
I’d much rather it be removed and Sweden waits until the september or october update when the other remaining nations get their new AAs, nations which deserve them more than Sweden ground as these nations have actually suffered at top tier ground for a while (unlike Sweden top tier ground).

Without bringing in Bedish Swias as you’re doing, i do agree. Id much rather see the vehicle be removed entirely and for Sweden to be a focus alongside all other nations that did not receive new spaa this patch. The Elde fails to do the most simple task required by SPAA at 12.0 and 1.0 and fails to be a competitive addition and thus no value is lost when the vehicle is removed.
Could aircraft like the A400M be accepted as a valid suggestion for use as AI targets. Either as individual suggestions for each aircraft or a general suggestion to replace the AI targets with such aircraft? Obviously outside of the single player campaign missions it wouldn’t work given that it’s a cargo plane for player control but for AI targets at say 10.0+ it could definitely work as a replacement to the Sabres and such flying mach 10 around the map.

Leaving Gaijin’s love for Swedish top tier ground aside, just because they would get an SPAA at the same time doesn’t mean Sweden would be a focus.
I mean look at Japan and Israel, they got a new SPAA this update but they are extremely sad in terms of capabilities.
A400 proceeds to dolphin dive an entire formation into the side of a mountain.
Flying at Earth’s escape velocity at 5m off the ground, clipping through the terrain and being harder to lock with radar than actual stealth aircraft.
dont forget that when you do get a weapon locks it takes 4+ missiles to bring down
If that since it’s going too fast for the missile to track properly even if you manage to come at it headon.
(This actually happens if anyone doubts this use the in-game mission editor with a top tier aircraft and try it for yourself. You can see your missiles just in a complete state of confusion as the AI aircraft rockets past completely ignoring the laws of thermodynamics and physics in general.)

I didn’t mean it like that but if you wish to interpret my words as such i cant stop you. I simply meant that it would be included in the list of nations to get an spaa, i honestly couldn’t care less if it was first or last, just as long as it added something that was on par with other 12.0 spaa, we dont need parasite vehicles at top tier that offer nothing we need vehicles that can do their job for the team.

Im slowly putting my own opinions on the Elde and would love feedback or if someone is curious for why i suggest such a feature to allow me to explain it.
