Also on the Taiwan side of things there is the F-CK-1 (unfortunate name) which i wouldn’t be surprise if it ended up as a premium since that seems like something gaijin would do.

If put in the same update as the F-15EX and SU-35 the J-16 would be by far the worst of the 3.

Tbh that can fit in 4th line… 2nd line gets j11s and j16, 3rd line gets j-15 and can get su-30s, 4th line gets the pakistani subtree and still has room for j10s

And you have the F-CKs, F-16V and later J-10s too. The fifth line is essential at least for upper tiers
J-11BG would be another ok upgrade.

It is for the people who don’t browse this thread (almost all war thunder players) and don’t know how exceedingly mid it’ll be (if that).
Think about it. There’s more people who will be excited for the Super Bug purely due to Top Gun or the Battlefield mission Going Hunting than people who browse the forum.
That being said, the Tomcat-D would be a better addition for December.

J16 is lighter due to higher ratio of composite materials and has stronger domestic engines pretty much !

The J-16 has an empty weight somewhere between 17700kg-18xxxkg and two WS-10B engines producing 142KN of thrust.

Line 1: F-16A → F-CK-1 → Mirage 2k → F-16V
Line 2: J-8 → J-11 → J-11B → J-16
Line 3: JH-7 → Su-30s → J-15 → J-15T
Line 4: JF-17s → J-10s
That all fits fine if we add a 9th rank which we will have to see anyway
Since it wouldn’t really compete at the best for anything I’d say its worth adding after the J-16 which would compete for best BVR platform atm
