Ah, I see, that must be a typo. They meant, “aircraft that stink,” as in, the F7U Cutlass.
I’d be hyped for the Cutlass. An awful plane but so cool looking
even the people that fitted AMRAAM to a Phantom are allowed to call that stupid
F14D will get buffed AIM-54 with ECCM and a stronger radar so that be a better fit for BVR especially at 13.3 and chances are aim120 too
well that’s a new one…
it’s a modular missile that can do a lot of tasks depending on the seeker installed
I wish they would stick 174 on the 15E. But that would require the USAF to not be cringe for 5 seconds
I’m still convinced they were referring to the F89 Scorpion in the CM post
We need Raytheon to glue 120AXE on F-15E to compete with Meteors and P-37M in future.
But is it true will be the third time to put a hornet continuously
Blame Dick Cheney
Is it swear or name?
i can see them adding aim120d before aim9x
Because its American and American vehicles cannot be bad. It would be against the American constitution if a video game modeled it historically accurately
Google is a great place to find answers
See, im the opposite.
I think with the right tuning. Gen 5 IR would go a long way to fixing the imbalance between aircraft at top tier as it would give everyone HOBS. Whereas adding better ARH to everyone wont really change anything, the status quo would remain the same, especially as the maps are too small for what we’ve already got. Imagine having to defend against a Meteor fired the second the game started because you are within the LSZ at 60-80km
oho yes, and remember the extremely long burn time of a METEOR, you’d essentially have to shoot it down to survive it
a Jump in IR missiles is long overdue compared to RH
Why adding these top tier vehicles in the first place?
They are a pain to balance, most information is not available and not every nation has equivelant vehicle to the current status quo.
Yep, well, assuming it didnt have a C&P seeker as the Aim-120 has right now.
But yeah. Aim-9M is such a dull weapon which imo, barely works half the time
