im only counting ones that currently operate it not on order
Badger is still on order and yet we’ve got it still
I think it’s just the second phase of the FOTM effect.
First phase is all the good multi nation players flocking towards the nation that got the shiny new strong vehicle.
Second phase is usually the not as good players showing up, usually after the good players have been hyping up said shiny new strong vehicle.
Thing is usually this doesn’t happen so soon.
tbf badger is also a domestic IFV the F-35 isnt built by either of those nations
What does domestic have to do with it ?
If we go the Badge that yet to be used by the South Africans then we should get the F-35 for the Germans
From the blog which make it clear that it’s future if it even has one is still fuzzy.
" still yet to be delivered to the South African Army."
“Originally, 264 vehicles were ordered, however as a result of delays and financial issues, Denel have not provided the South African Army with any production Badger vehicles so far.”
“a South African vehicle intended to replace the Ratel in the real world, however its future is still uncertain”
“The Badger IFV has been built and tested through Project Hoefyster, but the South African Army still awaits production vehicles to be delivered after years of delays.”
germany didn’t make a prototype, germany didn’t make a production variant, SA did both thats the difference, if the US had them on order but didnt have any sure maybe the UK but germany had no had in its manufacturing, or the project as a whole
We both know gaijin can make stuff up as much as it like, I know that and you know that so why pretend this matters ?
Germany will get’s their next year if they are luckily if one is being build as we speak then that more than enough to be added, I mean hell we have helis in game the parent nation never used in their armed forces.
And speaking of Sweden they have their Sherman that was only meant for testing purposes only it was never intended to be used by them which is less than what their T-80 is.
Anyway speaking of SA things I love to see the Olifant MK.1B “Optimum” one day since we do need another SA tank
what does it even add? also “need” is a strong word what we need is more light tanks spread through out the tree and better SPAA
What does it do that couldn’t be added by another British tank?
probably nothing much besides having a SA flag on it lol
@Smugspite & @長門 That’s a bit insulting isn’t it ?
The TTD been at the top of the line for awhile now and it would be nice to get something other than a wheeled vehicle but from what I’ve been reading better than the Olifant in game in all form
"The Mk1B was, for all practical purposes, a leap forward in protection, mobility and firepower over its predecessor, the Mk1A. However, several problems came to light, such as the poor power to weight ratio and the failure of the main gun system to exceed the performance of the Mk1A. Additionally, the desired fight ability improvement was not achieved. These shortcomings motivated the SANDF to look for further improvements which led to the Mk2 which made use of many of the TTD technologies.
Id still take the Ajax or Boxer for a 10.3 IFV and the Challenger 3(P) for maybe at long last a 12.0 MBT as we dont have one yet over a 10.3/10.7? 105mm MBT at a BR range where we already have a really solid MBT and we just had a pointless SA Addition
so its either in a BR bracket where its pretty much by itself or at a BR where there are better options, the UK still has options for MBTs as well with things like MBT-80, Challenger 1 mk1, Chieftain mk11
Pointless is only an option it’s not facts
4 really solid MBTs and 1 meh soviet copy paste oh and i forgot about the TTD it exists
Sure I guess, but we’re still waiting on the Chief Mk.8, 11 and/or 12, 4030/1 4030/2, and Chiefs 800 and 900. Don’t forget that it IS the British tree, South Africa is just a guest.
The chances of them being added is less than gaijin doing their own work in house
still all of them are better options then the Olifant Mk1B that over all will just be a disappointment
