From a quick search the R-77M is still in development for the SU-57 and there’s nothing known about it. So not a contender. It’s even less likely compared to the AIM-260
Its very strange to often ask for more communication from us and developers, and yet, when an offical answer comes directly from the developers, its thrown out.
We appreciate plans have changed in the past, but we can only provide the information we have at the time, which comes from the devs directly.
As a general rule, that is entirely correct. When something however exceeds the point of being potentially a damaging claim to say something is planned for X update or part of the year, which also lead to people making outlandish claims of “The devs are not fixing bugs because they are already rushing stealth/5th gen for Christmas 2025!”, we feel the need to step in at this point. As its both entirely untrue and incorrect, leading to many others being mislead.
Once again, as we have said before, you are entirely free to not trust statements. We can only provide the current up to date information directly from the offical source, the dev team.

With all due respect, it wouldn’t be the first time.e you guys say one thing and do the complete opposite.
But alas I really hope the 5th hen stuff you say is true. I really don’t want to see it in game before some major changes occur
Plans change from time to time and we have never denied that. Its the simple and practical reality of game development. If and when they do, we always provide our reasoning and detailed explanations of why that is and what changed if we have said something previously that differed.

We really need total and complete overhauls of multiple core aspects of the game first
- Actually modeling heat signatures of aircraft (exhaust temps, directional exhaust, etc etc)
- Overhauled Countermeasures
- Overhaul radar mechanics (including ARH seekers)
- ECM
- significantly improved map designs (with much larger maps)
- Overhauled damage models (we’ve had the same models for about 10 years? its time for something with better fidelity)
- Even things like improved weather modeling (especially with things like contrails, as they would just make stealth aircraft pointless half the time)
Imo. We have a very long way to go yet.

Everything you said is stuff that the game would benefit from regardless of stealth. I mean stuff like TVC, stealth itself, AESA, AIM-120C and R77-1, recently LDIRCM, things that are required for stuff like F-35, F-22, Su-57, etc
Perhaps. But I think the priority should be to get gen 4 vs gen 4 into a decent and healthy state (heck Gen 3 vs gen 3 isnt all that great either) before trying to have Gen 5 vs Gen 4 gameplay which is just going to be a nightmare of balancing issues and bugs

Yeah I wouldn’t mind a couple more advanced F-15’s and F-16’s. US is stuck in cold war airframes right now
Thats cool and all however we have instead decided to introduce fuel dumping and change the afterburner affects (again)
We have also decided to change the sounds (again)
ECM will come though but only for about 4 aircraft (3 of which are premium)

Yeah… I still think fuel dumping (the actual mechanic to dump fuel not the fuel burning aesthetics) was a good and important addition (when it actually gets added to everything)
but yeah… Too much effort is being put into the wrong things at the moment.
Just as an FYI, the earlier list is a fake leak. It was made and propagated as a bit of a social experiment. Always hedge your bets like that guy who called it fake was. Happy rumour milling!
