Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

So air team where my SA jets : P lol

Are there still “country managers”? Devs or historical advisors with responsibility over direction for a single faction/tech tree.

Sorry I’m a little out of the loop, I know there was some politics about this some time ago.

If so then that’s getting messy but also will help us understand stuff even more

I dont necessarily see an issue with that.

There are more vehicles that are unfun to play because they are a buggy/unfinished mess than playable ones. For example the Tracked Rapier still doesnt work properly. The Typhoon’s radar still barely works, the SHars are still barely half finished. etc etc.

If they spent a year just fixing stuff added over the past 5 years. We’d probably end up with more playable vehicles than we would if they had just spent that year adding new stuff. Especially as half of the new stuff is broken anyway and takes 6-24 months at a minimum for it to be playable.

How far is the center of the radar from the cab?
2kg of TNT has a >2m lethal radius excluding shrapnel only counting the Shockwave and a truck cabin isn’t going to reduce it by much

We’ve never had “managers” for any country. We don’t have any individual who has control or singular authority over any one nation in game.

We have worked with external consultants for nations with specific translation barriers (Like China and Japan for example). They help provide information and assistance in gathering it, but dont decide what comes to the game or when. That rests with the development team. However for the majority of nations (USA, UK, USSR, France, Germany) we have our own teams internally who all cross work across all nations together, sharing knowledge and expertise. As oppose to any one person having control of a particular nation.

I know there were some “rumours” about “British consultants” etc, but those were sadly just fabricated. Its collaborative more than singular control. We have general consultants internally for most nations.

Now, now, let’s not turn RR into a British complaint thread. /jk

As always chief, thank you for the insight.

the distance is greater than 2m thats for sure
for example, the width is 2.55m

So I like to ask who in charge of the air, ground and naval teams, do they have their managers who report to BvvD or is BvvD their managers who says what is planned ?

BVV is the Game Director, so naturally most teams report to him. However each team has its own management.

2kg is also on the low side of HE munitions + shrapnel

Tbh, i am surprised we did not had yet something in line of
“Who we are”, “Meet the team” etc.

That would make sense then,

BVV

Section Managers

Air section teams

ect

No wonder things can get messy sometimes and what’s get’s the priority

Good way of getting threatened IRL with this community…

Which has already happened BTW.
(DONT DO THIS!)

If someone wanted do to it, they would have done it already (other that that one tech mod)

Even so it’s clear now what is what, I’ve actually quiet enjoyed this convo

I need to make a flow chart of this and which teams gaijin has

Oh don’t get me wrong I also enjoy learning about the inner workings of how things work at Gaijin

Yeah it really helps us to understand the mind set of why things get added they way they are
