Man, i have to get arty quickly, so i can get within top 3
I want to know how big the performance gap between the SLM and the EldE/Tan Sam/Spyder is, because none of the latter 3 should even be 12.0 to begin with.
I mean
You can do this yourself
Just type the name of the vehicle
You mean an 32 missiles slm vs 8 missiles trolly sls
main problem is the performance of the missile, before the update I was already worry about this. IRIS-T is just a dog fight missile, a modern but really small one, which can’t go so far as the others.
while FB-10A’s data is a mess, filled with imagination.
SLM’s strangely super low drag and super thrust
120C’s bad mobility.
spider no derby-er
The Thai VT-4 would remove the only redeeming factor of the A1 the APS… making it the single worst top tier MBT
second worst, the T-72B3A beats it for the title of worst 12.0 MBT.
No it’s does not. The T-72 has some armor and an APS
The Thai VT4 would have neither
Yes it is. neither have any armor worth much but the VT-4A1 has better mobility.
The Thai VT-4 likely won’t even be 12.0 anyway, it’ll likely be 11.7.
The VT4 can be frontally penetrated by a 25mm APDS not even APFSDS.
and I’m talking about the Thai VT4 the VT4A1 is better than the B3 arena imo
CS has the same issue as Gepard, Tunguska and others. It is used in AtG role, making it have much more deaths.
It also doesn’t help that it’s miserably bad to boot
though as my friend’s experience, it’s a good spaa, not worse than SLM if play properly, and much better than others.
it has mobility, gun with ahead, smoke and a useable missile
SLM is good but only can sitting and shoot, there are ways to deal with it
Just looks like a classic case of compression to me.
Cannot go down because its stomps on things like the ADATS. But shouldnt be the same BR as the IRIS-T SLM and Pantsir.
Same for the VT-4 vs T-72 debate. I think we can all agree that half of the tanks currently at 12.0 shouldnt be at the same BR as the other half of the 12.0s. Perhaps shouldnt even be within 0.3 BR sight of more than a few
I’ve played it a good bit since launch.
It’s ok at best.
The missile is bad, Only people that get hit are either clueless or premium timmies or the occasional helicopter, but usually the missile chooses flares instead.
The gun is is very fun for shooting down incoming munitions, I wish there was a stat tracking how many you’ve shot down, it’d be a lot…
Search radar is bad but the tracking radar is excellent.
Atm you’re incapable of hitting any jets >6km because yhe tracking logic with DL+IOG will prevent the missile from actually acquiring a lock with the IR seeker

And then there’s the part where a 18km missile can barely fly 10km before starting to falling out of the sky
well, pantsir’s 95ya6 is no match of SLM. it only advantage is speed and non-warning lock, the non-warning is now almost gone, and speed is hard to behave without mobility
maybe you should change your tactic, though I can’t tell the details before I finish research it and try myself. but I believe my friend’s word, it’s about choose a good position with your mobility and let the enemy get closer. most will afraid of SLM and will try close attack
and it still outperforms pretty much every other SAM except for the SLM from what Ive seen and read.
I’ve done that a while back, as I showed my stats are ok’ish in it.
If you play it as a 18km SPAA as it should be you’re going to have a miserable time. You have to play it as a glorified MANPADS carrier with a bit of extra energy.
Only parts that’s “good” about the missile is the aggressive loft allowing to hit very low flying targets behind cover
you can avoid being hit by 95ya6 as long as you know it’s coming and has enough energy, in most of the range. while for other missiles with more mobility, there is always a dead zone where you can’t get away by just pulling hard
it’s like this
and same for most of the new spaa except SLM
though FB-10A is more extreme. it’s rocket is really powerful for it’s size, but the speed limit waste much energy and the drag makes it dies quickly.
