Sub-trees are predominantly picked based on WW2, and it becomes clearer it’s that with each ST.
Also, Canada is a bad example as not only does their joining the UK make sense for a number of reasons, but it is also the preferred opinion for the majority of Canadians if it comes down to being a sub-tree.
As for the US… well, things like lend-lease already exist. (plus they are allies)
Not many are, only some host mains are happy with Canada(and others) being ripped apart. Yet those happy will try to justify it with flimsy excuses, on why vehicles at similar BRs/served together should be split up.
And this applies to all nations without a home/being ripped apart, Canada is just notable because it has some of the highest equimt count in game(well not being a ST), well being split across some of the most trees.

Personally I believe Subtrees should offer some variety with an UA tree you wouldn’t get anything new except for the T-84, and at this point you might aswell add it as event vehicle

Gaijin could have sent it to Britain or France simply because Nigeria purchased VT4, but they chose an option that is most likely to cause controversy.

but it’s still stopped, even it’s not a sub just more USSR.
BeNeLux is in the French TT, we have fought more against the French than China against Japan.
Yet, you don’t hear us talk about controversy, just that Benelux could have easily be its own TT.
The Netherlands has destroyed the British navy multiple times, not losing a war against the British, yet BeNeLux has British vehicles and you don’t hear the British complain.

Love that change for naval, won’t have to awkwardly toggle that option anymore! Also curious to see what battlecruiser germany is getting next event. Though I personally can’t wait for some more unique cruisers. (I would kill for Oyodo)

To be fair Thailand is an official subtree nation in game, and they operate VT-4.
But yeah the timing is unfortunate. I hope Gaijin delay it and give an Indonesian Leopard 2A4 premium instead. It’s a quick and easy fix for Gaijin, promises exciting future Indonesian vehicles and works around the issue at the same time. Everyone wins.
