How many unique air frames are out there?

even tho Israel doesn’t need a subtree,
If Singapore were added, Israel and Singapore have a longgg history of sharing arms,
and ig it would fit better in the israeli tech tree

adding SK to JP would be nice, since SK has lots to offer from 8.3 and above. Exactly what Japan is currently missing.
Do hope it will be unique though.

Of course it will. There’ll be M48s, some of which get 105s. And F-86s. And- and even a Phantom!

based on the tech tree’s suggestion on the forum, it looks solid to add after 8.0. could be nice

Hey guys, I’m back here form an extended break form the game (haven’t seriously played since February or March) and since then quite a bit has changed, does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the player cards after getting destroyed in ground battles? It’s really annoying and in my opinion ugly and unnecessary

Okay aside from low BR the only additions Finland brought that are still useful are the Panzer IV, the Ju-88, T34-85, T55M and T72M1

All other additions are either made irrelevant by better swedish options or simply suffer from poor BR compression.

Thats 5 vehicles that are actually decent with the rest being fluff. Most of Finlands actual unique stuff would’ve been better choices than the slop they added.

T34-75- Kwk40 cannon
T72 FIN MOD 2- added a 850hp engine and new transmission allowing for 22kph reverse alongside ERA.
Niki- T50 with 14.5mm plates added to bring its armor up, considering armored vehicles sit at the same BR as the uparmored models it would be an excellent 2.7 with the same turret weakspot.
Sturmi- brings some actual armor to the TT at a BR where you get overtiered TD’s with no armor and mid pen. Also would allow for 3 models with different attributes, standard stug 3 with a unique roof mg armor and side skirts, armored sturmi covered in concrete and logs, and a Stug with a 1960s APDS round made for it.
Patria- the list is far too long here but it would’ve given sweden a list of good wheeled tank options.
Comet 20 pndr- as the name states its a Comet 1 with the 20 pndr installed, there were plans for the Charioteer to receive the 20 pndr but the brits refused to sell them the gun. In the 1960s

I could list 90 more useful vehicles that would fill the BR gaps and equipment gaps that Gaijin has left unfilled for years from low BR SPAA to top tier. Finland could’ve been better introduced had gaijin bothered to add their unique vehicles and not copy and pasted slop which eventually got sent up in BR or had the swedish vehicles around them move up. You seriously cant expect me to take your claim that its a good addition when it only did 1 decent thing which was give a proper lineup for about 4 months to 3.7 the air tree was worthless until the Hornet showed up which on release was the worst hornet so only last patch did Finland air add something Sweden actually needed.

Wasn’t there an upgraded ZSU-57-2? Would love to see that

ZSU-57-2M yes theres a plethora of gap filler vehicles Finland could’ve added had gaijin actually tried filling gaps with Slopland

This has me rethink the points the make sub-trees “good”. I used to think there was 2 but no it’s 3.

Is it unique: is the sub-trees made up of only unique(complete new vehicles) or mostly unique(a few C&Ps or not yet in game variants with mostly unique)?

Dose it fit: are the nations close for games time period? The best fits come from close allies, that don’t have strained relations due to threats. The worst fit comes from nations that ended up on other sites of (major) conflicts, with getting only getting close to enemy nations comes close.

Is it needed: Did the sub-tree bring stuff the host couldn’t with it domestically operated vehicles? (That is more then something that could be a one-off addition)

There isn’t a single sub-tree that checks all 3, that I can think of, a few check 2, and some we need to see.

Still would have prefered Unique native options such as:

  • Saladin
  • Abbot
  • AS-90
  • Scorpion
  • Rover Javelin
  • Ajax
  • Various Warror Variants
  • Bishop
  • Ferret
  • Later Chieftain variants

etc etc etc.

Czech sub tree

for who?

Hence why I didn’t call it a good sub-tree, but like ZA, it has some stuff going for it, but not enough.

At the end of the day, not a single sub-tree can be used as the example of a good sub-tree.

And won’t unless we get a rework of sorts.

USSR obviously

Charioteer only ever came with the 20pdr
