Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

If anyone cares I could really use your help, Gaijin partner and War Thunder Content Creator TheSnazzyComet sadly lost his YT Channel to a hacker and has had to start from scratch. I’ve made a post here elaborating on the topic and his new channel can be found here:

Man’s been through a lot lately with this whole ordeal, and I’m sure he’d really appreciate if you guys can show him support so he can reach his old audience again and start profiting of his War Thunder content once more. Thanks yall

So let me get this straight, so it’s no longer about putting in as many variants or new aircraft to the trees to represent that nation. But it’s all about adding the best option and calling it a day talk about being lazy.

Like it really shouldn’t matter if it worst than the Ar 234 if Germany used it then it should be added no matter the condition.

Could honestly be argued as a side grade or line filler with better agility

Germany has a plethora of 6.0-7.0 BR aircraft more capable than the trainer version currently (gunless, few ordinance options). So it was not planned.

As I’ve mentioned before, its also not the exact same model as we have in game with the ZA. So its not just a case of a new skin.

Instead, Germany received a slew of more capable and actual capability gap filling aircraft that are far more practical this update. So it has nothing to do with being “lazy”.

Once again, other variants of the L-39 are not entirely ruled out for the future. But its not planned currently for the gun-less trainer versions.

Do we have any idea about the next event vehicle? I assume a ship but don’t really assume a copy pasted equivalent of the recently introduced Rank VII ones.

Just to follow up on this, the fix will be in an upcoming future update. Allowing the FGA.9 to have both drop tanks and AIM-9.

Oh. Sweet. I guess my bug report that never got passed can be closed then. That was fixed far faster than I was expecting

Does this mean it can also take 4x 1000lb + 2x Aim-9E?

to be fair you could equip the 23MM to it anyway cause gaijin logic is that you if it can carry it can get it

Good to know it’s been close to a week without any sign of actual fixes for the major issues plaguing the game.

It cant. As the version used by East Germany was the version that could not equip the gun. That was one of the main modifications of the ZA in game. So its not compatible.

Still having missile issues. Off to check if the cannon damage is actually fixed now.

Multiple fixes have been released, and we are following all reports of issues that have not yet been resolved.

ayyye! Thanks Smin!

edit: finally, three 405 errors there weeee

could just chalk it up to a balancing descion as mig 29A east german got R27ERs that germany never bought or could even use and even without a gun still carrys good suspened ordance far better than Arado at 6.3 with again no gun id just like some good strike planes that ya know can turn in less than 2 buisness days

You got it wrong. even tho smin denied it they’ll break the laws of physics to give germany one but AS A PREMIUM cuz ofc.
Gotta make the premium/tech tree ration crappier right?

Im afraid not. Missiles / weaponry can be added when they are technically compatible. Like R-27ER is with export models, even if they never used it.

In the case of the L-39, the versions are not compatible in that way. Its not the case that they just “didn’t use it”. One of the distinguishing changes between the version was the strengthening and changes required to mount the gun. As well as the required equipment and wiring. So its not the same situation at all and would not be something used as a “balancing decision”.

mig 29A isnt compatipble with R27ER without sniper upgrade

Feel free to submit a report with your evidence for that in a report and we can pass it for review by the devs. But that doesn’t change the facts on the L-39 until it can be clearly proven.

“thousands of historically accurate vehicles” ))
