Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

My post stands still. At 10.3 the Su-15TM can be perfectly limited to R60s

and i dont see why they wouldn’t let the export su-35 carry r-37ms between the intakes/on the engines like domestic su-35s

if only they’d always use BR to balance things and left armarment realistic… id have a Phantom with 9F at 9.7

thatll make it even worse than Yak38…

and thats not a particularly good aircraft either

you fly jets?

Check the forwarded suggestion. It would be a less capable MiG-23 but still work at 10.3 (Without R60Ms)

im not saying its not compatible, but i mean it has some physical differences in antennas mainly, also the best weve seen is it only carries 4x missiles

Yeah people seem to be forgetting that Gunslinger is an SM-6 sans booster stuck to a plane. Even if the plane its attached to is a slug its not really going to suffer much.

Both Krug and S-200 are some of my favorite SAMs visually for the launch alone.

F-35A has its own gun and the outer pylons only take AIM-9M

There is also the gunpod for the other F-35’s

The Su-15TM does carry R-60Ms though, unless you mean it shouldn’t get them.

Exactly this. The SM-6 is supposed to be able to go from a VLS tube to a target upwards of 250nmi away (potentially more but, ehhhhh). I think it’ll do just fine being launched from an airplane going ~600 knots at 10k+ feet.

Its got a pretty big booster section on VLS version that isn’t on AIM-174. So I wouldn’t expect it to exceed 250nmi by much unless proven otherwise
