It’s a step up from the 16C we have for sure. Not quite a block 70 standard level, I’d put it around the same level as the F-16E

I mean I’m was specifically referring to the F-2 with AIM-9Ls and AIM-7Ms which could have been introduced with the F-16C and MiG-29SMT as it would have trade offs with the both of them. With AAM-4s and AAM-3s it could have been added as soon as the Rafale and EF-2000 were added.

Honestly if it was added when the AJ was, yeah it might’ve been a little overpowered, but not really more so then other stuff gaijin has added, and by now it’s just simply way past due. At most we should’ve had it around with the F-15As

F-15SG, K is totally Korean operated afaik. I mean maybe there was a Boeing one, but i have 0 proof and it’s just speculation

Alr, tho tbh with how it’s going my guess is Gaijin will race to the top and once we’ll hit the late gen only then we’ll start to see more specific variants like this
I expect the F-15EX and maybe even some gen 5 to come before strike eagle variants

Oh no, gaijin adding a sub jet over a domestic jet. This is why I say to people don’t expect the expected when it comes to gaijin.
As other’s have already said they said a jet for Japan, they didn’t state if it was domestic, C&P or a home grown design. For all we know it could be a tested F-14 as a squadron, since gaijin did that for Sweden variety reasons. Personally I feel it could be a jet from any Asean nations to fill a role that the Thai jets missed out.

Tbh I don’t think F-15 variants are what’s most needed atm, imo what we truly need is stuff like AESA F-16, Mig-29KR or Mig-35, a Rafale F1…
And obviously the lower tier stuff missing like a tech tree intruder

The Swedish tested the T-80 and that was Russian regardless, they didn’t adopt it into their ranks but in game it’s here. So no just because they didn’t use it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t have a chance of coming.
Plus as already said previously War thunder isn’t a historical game
