aim-9m introduced to service in somewhere in between 1977 (introduction of aim9l) and 1991(aim9m deployed in gulf war)
So maybe the US should have just build better IR missiles

They aren’t similar in capabilities, so no.
i want a feature to opt out of arb EC, its absolutely atrocious and solves nothing. Its also a pain in the arse for planes without any Fox 1 or Fox 3 kits. Maps like red canyon are an instant j out for example.
And we need more map bans seriously, its 2025.

Well we are getting IIR next update but just ground based so we are not far off
But any IIR air to air missile will come with the rest and the US one is the worst

They did, it’s called the AIM-95 Agile, and even had a short production run of about 270 “production representative” missiles produced, before the decision was made not to scale up production but instead halt it, and subsequently not being funded in proceeding Financial years, in the relevant budgets finally leaving it dead in the water.

What plane would get the aim95? Bc I don’t think you want to fly a f8 at 12.7 or a phantom at 13.0
The 9M is superior in the real world do not let Gaijins interpretation fool you.
It has superior lock range, superior range, superior IRCCM and counter measure rejection.
Stated by someone (not me) who is using them IRL.
