Sure, adding more drones with similar specs to the ones we currently have to give as many nations their own drone as possible would be nice, but they shouldn’t be better than the ones we currently have in terms of armament.
Isn’t the gun mounted in the upper part of the nose like on the F-5 series of planes?
Yes just above the radar. But in game its angled at 0° meaning in first person you shoot below the actual gunsight which means you always almost miss even with EEGS. IRL the gun was raised +3° so you could get proper aiming.
Oh, that’s what you mean. Well, you could experiment with the vertical targeting settings to maybe get around that.

If you change the vertical it still effects the EEGS you will always be off by 3°
The EEGS being affected by that is another issue then.
To be completely honest, I don’t even know if the guns on modern planes even are adjustable to change the gun convergence and elevation like that, however if they are, then having the gun at 0° elevation by default is a completely fine implementation.

On modern fighters they are fixed. Convergence is normally used if the ammo effects the trajectory of center mounted convergent guns. Since the nose is below the Pilot on the F18’s hud it was aimed up to help since you dont need to pull the nose as much to be able to get your gun on target while allowing the pilot to have a better view of their rounds trajectory. From the fews times ive been over with our F16s ive never seen them adjust the angle, i could always ask my buds when they are off work but convergence nowadays should basically be stuck as we dint have a need for convergence since most guns are already set with the determined angle for optimized aiming like the gun on the F16 and F15.
If the F15 and F16 weren’t angled youd have to aim the plane at an angle to hit most targets ahead of you.

Man, i cant wait for this next update. Its surely will be one of those “subsequent updates” that will put the “Hungarian” into the Hungarian aviation subtree. It will be so fun to use the Nimrod and its HEAT grenade, oh and also the ME210 with its 40mm, surely next update wont be a premium jet/C&P jet/top tier jet update…oh and did I mention jets?
