Anyone have the US Late F/A-18C spaded? Im curious what payload and fuel allows it to still go up at 90° but im starting to think only without weapons and at low fuel can it do that.
mm a bit more spice than I was going for, trying to keep to the same level of firepower, just change up the visuals while giving appropriate options
The hornet is slow. dont expect it to pull 1/1+ twr moves.
Finnish one can, but it also weighs 580kg less than the US model, i dont have it spaded but stock it can go 90° and climb with min fuel and clean pylons.
Falco astore gets 4 laser guided Cirit rockets, I don’t think those are comparable to hellfire. I guess Italy will have to use other drones

Eh, not having HMD in realistic screws you over a lot trying to hit close range shots, you’ll almost always be at a disadvantage.
Radar is okay, honestly think i prefer PS0/5A MK.1
AN/PG 72 has ghost tracks and often for me tracks nothing through mountains. Honestly i don’t care for the radar and it feels pretty trash at times but its usable if you have all keybinds for tilting your radar and can react in a dogfight.
Gun is also off center for SIM and in firstperson so im gonna stay away for the time in SIM.
Ive gotten into a few dogfights but since the Finnish model doesn’t get aim 7p after the 9L like the US model does you have to close the gap. Its also more expensive to get the missile on the Finnish model because you have less modules from not having CAS. Its a more annoying experience and in dogfights with Su-30 and Su-27 if you dont have the energy and nose advantage you will die. You need missiles to keep going out to keep them panicking. R73 is the best missile for this and not having HMD can make this brutal since you have to do so many of these close dual esq fights. Over the US F-18 they will always get a radar lock via HMD in a dogfight but you should have the advantage because you weigh less. Just be more cautious and play as a support fighter. For Afghan stay close to the mountains and sneak up on enemies. You only get 2 aim 120s stock and 6 IR missiles (after getting 9L or 9M upgrade.)
