Figured i’d just try and diversify the infantry into more specialized roles/classes so that you don’t have a single “squad” able to single handedly control a capture point. (add more teamwork)
For example: AT Class is good at dealing with (unaware) tanks, but is susceptible to Air, snipers, and heavy infantry assaults.
Assault Class is good at assaulting enemy positions (hence the name (would also probably be a good defense class, balancing required)) with heavier weaponry and armor, but is less mobile and (more) susceptible to tanks and air (and probably snipers (snipers are gonna need some balancing)) Actually would probably be better to just call it Heavy Class.
You get the idea.

To be honest I’d be more scared of the HE shell about to impact my skull.
But saying that most people wouldn’t bother swapping out the shell. Why bother swapping to HE when APFSDS can achieve a similar result with a direct impact?
You “MIGHT” survive a shot by a .50 cal. (Factors depending). But a 120mm round will vaporise you.

It’s possible to make a suggestion report exactly as you would a tank shell for additional missile options with sources and evidence.

I wouldn’t say waste but the balancing was clearly not a thought in the snails mind with this event. It took them until the last 2 stars to make a somewhat balanced event and even then it eventually just became Garford on Garford violence because sitting behind a hill and peaking with commander is very easy.
Cool concept but very poorly executed, id love to see other versions but id rather have Infantry play a larger role. Maybe hold back against an onslaught of soldiers who can still pen you albeit in very specifc spots. Kinda like the Sturmtiger event.

You might survive the first one if you get extremely lucky. But you will die from the next 10 shot at you.
Average British main, trying their hardest to suffer even more.

Knowing Gaijin infantry would probably be able to take more shots than a Chally 2 and call it “balanced”
