Actually, the gun for the Type 625E is probably going to be the 25mm version. Looking and comparing the two further it’s likely the version we see mostly for the 625E is the version with the 25mm with the 30mm as an option for export. The 30mm version WAS SEEN during the 2022 airshow which is noticeable due to the water jacket surrounding the full length of the barrels unlike the air cooled 25mm. We’ll see which one Gaijin picks but either way APDS/AHEAD are available for both. I didn’t see how much APDS or AHEAD belts it can carry however, I also didn’t see any limitations like on the Gepard 1A2’s ability to carry limited APDS so might be able to just delete whatever with a steady beam of lead.
As for the RADAR, it’s a Phased RADAR that’s listed as being capable of targeting multiple contacts which means as I said earlier, likely going to have similar capabilities to the HQ-17’s RADAR but less range. I’ll keep looking for specs but here’s the two suggestions:
They should have the Type 625E with the 30mm. That way when they add the Type 625 with the 25mm, there will be more of a difference to separate the two. Personally it would be pretty annoying having the same vehicle just with different missiles when they could’ve had different calibers as well. Imma fight that on the deserver release lol.
not really, HQ-17 is 15km, but due to gaijin’s you know what problem, it’s simply C&P of tor’s missile but with 15km self destruct. when the engine is over in about 9km, it quickly becomes useless.
but 625E, if made properly, 17km range with a normal energy level like VT-1/95YA6, should be really good.
I believe the theme of these two vehicles is LOAL. especially for IRIS-T, it can’t function well without this.
no RF, only IIR. its origin, FL-3000N, has RF seeker for anti ASM.
KA-50 don’t have any IRCM I think, it’s just Helis usually have very low IR signal. you need to get closer.
actually, sometimes it’s removed(I can’t find that image), it’s just simpler that 25mm barrel is longer.
it does bring me hope that maybe other nations will get betters sams since china already had the 2nd or 3rd best SPAA (its between the HQ-17 and ITO-90) so i really hope the ADATS get replaced as they are the worst SACLOS SAMs still at top tier
no, should based on Russian AK-630, easier for foreign users to get ammo supply.
I guess you mean the H/PJ12 CIWS, but it’s not really based on Goal Keeper except both 7*30mm barrel.
