Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

I dont think turning war thunder into a palyable FPS at this time is worth it. The game is suppose to be about vehicle combat and intergrated infantry combat into it just sounds like a recipe for disaster. I could definetly see large parts of War Thunder C&Ped over to its own dedicated game though. Imagine battlefield but with war thunder level vehicle combat.

What I can see coming to War Thunder is AI infantry in ARB/ASB and maybe also GRB/GSB (although I fear it just becoming a MOBA)

“While your nation didn’t get what you wanted”

So ok for the US to get 5 top tier aircraft in a span of 4 updates while nations like Britain, Germany and Italy get told “you don’t need another you just got one” but it’s ok for US players to demand anything because the fear of European based countries get’s a good fighter for once

This whole thread of benefits and disadvantages of infantry is just going in circles, again and again.

  • pros: untapped FPS market, amazon style all stop shop for combat (infantry, ground, naval), locking player base into a walled Gaijin garden, running out of content (debatable)
  • cons: complexity of implementation, tankies crying , age restriction complexities.

On the whole from a corporate point of view it makes sense, esp with Enlisted providing tons of market research beforehand. Lets just get a confirmation from devs if this is serious or not, not debate each minute point over and over again.

“untapped FPS market”
You mean the oversaturated FPS market we currently have ?

The “untapped FPS market” that can litteraly push your game in obscurity if you mess up your launch window and end up too close to the next Battelfield/Call of Duty ?

Almost like there are tons of top tier aircraft for the US and not as much for all nations except for China

I haven’t forgotten, even with subs there are like 10 top tier jets left for the UK max.

The US gets loads of aircraft because the US has loads of aircraft

As we all know gaijin won’t add all of them, they said this loud and clear because the dev have small screens there for only have 5 line max and that will be the reason why you won’t see your 15x F-15 day dream.

Between Folders, literally just adding new jets on existing lines, premiums, events and squadron vehicles.

They could do it for sure

Folders yes but as we seen with the 24 road map they were trying to cut down on research I mean ask yourself this, why haven’t we seen a folder style like the Italian bombers in german since then ?

They foldered the F-14B with F-14A this update so I don’t see why it can’t happen

British empire long gone by top tier era.

MDD, then Boeing, are still making F-15’s

And since when did gaijin cared about uniqueness especially after last year ?

What does uniqueness have to do with UK having less possible top tier jet additions than the US, even accounting for both subtrees

Your just arguing a fact atp

Are you arguing that the US needs more than 4 top tier aircraft because they built a lot IRL and therefore multiple other nations shouldnt get any because they didnt build many?

(For the record, im more than happy with the Typhoon FGR4, though still waiting for it to actually be added)

Mfw the game starts in the early 1930s. (Modern day isn’t everything)

*will not get as many in the end

Potential addition to potential addition US has more top tier jets left than anything except for maybe China. Doesn’t mean others should get nothing else.

There are what, like 3-4 more typhoon UK could get afaik (not counting plain 2 seaters) so UK should get those bc many ppl like the typhoon a lot. But 3-4 typhoons is still less than 10-14 F-15’s

Well top tier (so like 13.0+ by my definition) is what I’m talking about rn

Yes, lets take your financial game development advice and be cowards, never innovating or attempting something new.

This is what I mean about going in circles. Yes there are benefits and risks to running a business.

Grow a pair.
