Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Does anyone know if the 4m proxy fuze radius on the Tracked Rapier is correct? Surely they wouldn’t put such a massive trigger radius on a missile with such a tiny warhead (it has like 115g of TNT equivalent more than the Stinger, just 655g, but a 400% larger trigger radius…)

You can pitbull the missile if you don’t have a radar. Technically you can do with a radar as well.

Feels like the damage of the Rapier missile is bugged in general at the moment, because it’s just super inconsistent.

I think the general theory is that the missiles are exploding too far away and thus doing basically no damage, which is what Khorne is asking about, whether the 4m Prox fuse is actually correct

I have researched it and in the test drive either it takes 4+ missiles to kill the IL-28 or the same IL-28 just dies in 1 missile.

It’s either one or the other with no inbetween, which is what I meant with inconsistent damage.

Yup, the heli is even harder to destroy with the Rapiers lol
My high score for hits on the IL-28 was 6 so far

Oh, and shoutouts to the missiles that randomly decide that they want to be dumbfire rockets instead

  • The F-86 with AIM-9B from USAF

  • F4D-1 & F11F-1 (early) to researchable tree

  • USN fighter aircraft 8.7 ~ 9.0 in the early rank VI before F3H-2 Demon

And the early domestic USN 1st gen fighter aircraft 6.7 ~ 7.0 before F2H-2

Battle rating 7.7 or 8.0 ? I’m not sure about it

Fill gap between F3D-1 and F-84F, maybe

At least 2 variants before F3H-2

AIM-120C-3 & AIM-120C-4 for 4 american fighter aircraft rank VIII

You kinda need to sneak the missile in avoiding the tail, wings, or rotors, preferably in such a way to reduce the distance at detonation. Easiest way is to get the target to fly into the missile.

I tried imagining what an indian subtree for israel would be like. Thoughts?

India is with Britain

And that hardly makes any sense in the modern world. Speaking military, India is much closer to Israel than UK

Well it’s been confirmed like over 10 times at this point so it’s true

We still can hope… Also keep in mind France was in britain premiums before being a nation, there’s still some of their tech tree planes in the britain premiums
Things can change

Well as we understand subs, they are married into the parent nation i.e Britain can can’t be separated nor split between nations after an announcement

Yeah well india is a separate nation and doesn’t have more to do in the britain tree than in the israel tree. And Israel needs a tech tree waaaaay more

No, once a nation is allocated that it, it’s glued to that nation. It would be weird to say when Japan got Thailand their Gripen went to Sweden instead, it wouldn’t make sense.

Again, Britain has the French DB-7 bomber, the D.520 that is in the French tech tree and even the D.521 that isn’t in the France nation at all, all 3 as premiums. Right now India is only in british premium so…
Hope is far from lost

France was not a subtree, UK tree was just their home for a bit. Somewhat like Argentina, it’s not a German subtree, but its where Argentina lives for now.
India is a confirmed Subtree.

We should protest, that makes no sense… Imagine if USA was a british subtree because it used to be a british colony? It’s not much different
And again Israel needs a subtree 100x more than britain

There’s already multiple F-86s with AIM-9Bs in the game

There are no production variants that would differ from the ones we have as event vehicles, so most likely the Skyray and Tiger will remain event exclusives

Like what? The P-80 is already in the game in both an early and late variant and the P-59B wouldn’t be in that BR range. Not sure what BR a F-94 would get, but I can’t imagine that being lower than 7.0 either.

The F3D-2M carries Sparrow I (1) missiles, which would be similar to the Fireflash. A fitting BR would be 8.7 to match the Swift F.7

Sure, the F7U-1 and the F7U-3M. The early F7U-3 without afterburners isn’t needed, but could be an event or premium vehicle.

Both of those missiles would act like reskins. The AIM-120C-5 was the first one to differ from the AIM-120B in ways that are meaningful for WT.
