Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Presumably so. We will however wait to see.

Is it intended that marks of distinction dont have price drop stages

Yes

im losing it

You say that but the F-14B is the same BR as the F-15A despite having worse FM and radar, and I believe that is largely to do with the missile kit, so it wouldn’t be too strange for an F/A-18 with that 10 AMRAAM + 2 Sidewinder loadout to end up at 14.0, especially if we get an AESA equipped Marines version of the F/A-18C.

Flight performance isn’t the only metric used for determining BR and aside from being slower than the competition, the F/A-18C has enough to make it at 14.0, it isn’t like the Harrier, the Hornet can dogfight just fine, and it has just as many missiles as the SU-27SM, better missiles at that, and with an arguably better FM

EFT and Hornet performance difference is not even remotely comparable to that of F-15A and F-14B

Are these all future British additions? I’m excited ;)

I think the point was about Thai T-50TH, because of the Thai subtree, and Indonesian T-50i which is just about the most likely secondary subtree for Japan.

The actual Korean variants would just go where Korea goes and most certainly not Japan.

Yes, however ROC F-16AM MLU use AN/APG-66(V)3

More comparable to the F-15E, besides I think most people agree that the Typhoon, especially when all the bugs are fixed, should really be a 14.3.

Also, the comparison between F-14B and F-15A is that the F-15 runs circles around the 14, like I think you’re forgetting how much of a boat the F-14 is, whilst the F-15A also has IRCCM missiles and a better radar. literally the only thing the F-14B has going for it is the Phoenix which is cool and all but for the most part isn’t a huge threat, at least now that people know how to avoid fox 3s.

If you want to look at it another way, then think the SU-27/33 vs the MiG-29G, the MiG-29 has much better flight performance, but more weapons on the SU-27 is enough to equalize the BRs

I’m not saying any of these are perfect analogies, but can you see what I’m getting at that 10 AMRAAMs and 2 9Ms can make up for the difference in flight performance with something like the F-15E especially when the F/A-18 is still a perfectly good dogfighter, better than the F-15E actually.

First they removed the Merkava 2D. Now they remove the M-51 and the Spitfire…

The Swiss thing has even less explanation

It’s because no one bought it, plain and simple

@Smin1080p_WT Will developers implement the stealth reduction features of the Eurofighter and Rafale anytime soon? We already currently have the mechanisms available on the F-117 Nighthawk.

Why are people still going on about the YF-23 I don’t find it that exciting as it’s not that different to F-22 other than more legitimate additions there are also other prototypes that are more interesting and that didn’t get the chance to be serially produced

Except that the same aim-120s are fastly more effective on the other 14.0 platforms than on the F/A-18C. So yes you have more amraams, but you’ll also need more as your amraams will have far less energy from the platform.

Sure, Gaijin could just put the F/A-18C at 14.0, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have it’s face clubbed in by the EFT/Ralafe.

Like I said, it’s a 1 trick pony, only really good at AOA dogfighting.

The Chinese 6th gen jet that was on “display” perfectly captured the shape of the jet that is now flying today. What is concerning is the speed with which they had came out with the aircraft already. The question begs if they are already now coming out with other aircrafts in development. Other countries are not unveiling their 6th gen until 2040+.

Yes, that is the most common “rational logic” In these cases.
However, there are a few things to consider:

We do not have Swiss aircraft in the regular TT, to encourage the purchase of a premium.
The Swiss community is not very large
Switzerland has no military history, to encourage non-Swiss players to purchase these vehicles. At least a Swiss tank of that BR would have tempted many to form a line-up.
Their offer was very short-lived, especially considering what was mentioned above.
This is the first time it has been on sale (with discount). They announced its retirement even before seeing the community’s reaction.

What did the gaijins expect? It is a prototype without history, from a country without military history (although with very interesting vehicles) that also has no lineups in ground battles.

In my personal opinion, since there are Argentine tanks in the German TT, a Dagger or an A-4AR in 10.3 would have sold much better. But nobody understands the decisions of the snails.
People want to build domestic lineups. One or two Swiss tanks would have made this aircraft sell a lot better. After all, it is a CAS aircraft.

Question, are J-8s still in Chinese service?
