Totally agree, there are a bunch of air players that want something to do with their CAS aircraft and a bunch of ground players fed up with CAS interfering with tank battles, something needs to change
It’s a great fighter, lacking with the missiles but other than that it’s great.
Actually just finished grinding the Israeli TT to get the Kurnass 2000 and F-16D and it’s been pretty good. Took me coming up to 2 weeks to do it. My method with it though was to bomb a base and then go fighter mode, but it’s up to you how you want to play it.
But it being 11.0 means you will almost always be uptiered to 12.0. Honestly I don’t know why it’s at 11.0 but the J-7D is 10.7
By 2028 it will be a twilight of gods showdown between CATTB, object 490/195, and KF51 with EMBT. Sure would be fun if you are in one of these.
Thats available to 4 trees in total. 5 if you count the strv 141 which I do think is reasonable if the game ever made it to that stage.
Oh and do spam T-6-1 because like okay there are a million F-35As overhead

The J-7D is a really great fighter. I think the snail is afraid to lower the kfir canard because of its speed. Even at 11.0, it is one of the fastest planes. On 10.7, he will be the first to pick up bases and catch up/run away from anyone. Although the J-7D was good on 11.0 as well
I don’t think he has enough CM.
Without IFF it’s terrible in sim.

Yeah it’s speed puts it above the rest but even then if you take the J-7D it’s still close behind, also 4 missiles that pretty much the best non-IRCCM missiles (granted they are rear aspect only but still some of the best) in the game make up for it’s slightly slower speed.
Well, his carrier itself is worse. The Mig-21MF seems to me to be worse than a mirage. But actually, I think yes, they both should be on 10.7.

I love the Kfir Canard, hell, I grinded the almost the whole Israeli tech tree with it. It’s good at dogfighting and can take out atleast a single base. I think it’s my 2nd most played vehicle.

That’s only on super hornet, aim-260 supposed to go to literally every fighter in US service
F-16, F-15, F-18, F-22, F-35 all are getting it
Currently it looks like AIM-260 integration is only expected on F-22 and F/A-18E/F with the F-35 and F-15EX coming later
If an EX can fire it so can an E or C
F-16 would be software update away
Would genuinely rather take PL-5B’s instead of both of those missiles. Sure it isn’t all aspect but it’s flare resistance is unparalleled with other non-IRCCM missiles. I’ve had more of them hit through flares than both the 9L and Python 3 combined
I mean that isn’t a guarantee, they could add capability if they wanted I’m sure, but there likely isn’t much merit in doing so when the F-35 is going to be taking the frontline role in future wars and the older F-15, F-16, and F/A-18s can all use the AIM-120D which may be seen as perfectly adequate for their intended roles, the F-16 particularly and maybe the F/A-18 might not have the radar capability to make the AIM-260 worth it.
