Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

They have the Sabra and other M60 upgrades which is very roughly parallel to the K1, and the F-15 isn’t there, but it gives you a much more interesting F-16 IMO with SLAM-ER, IRIS-T, Python 5, Derby (no that interesting), and Penguin missiles, plus you get the ultimate F-4, and I know US players are always complaining that other nations always get the best version of your jets.

Also isn’t the K1 largely based on the Abrams, which is exactly the tank you were complaining about?

@BearHasLanded
So they do have enough to be in atleast rank IV-V-VI.

giggles at F-35 with ASRAAM and Meteor

We need Australia as a subtree so we can have ASRAAM exclusivity :)

Why would there be a Visegrad in War Thunder?
While the Visegrád countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary) do have some unique vehicles, most of their equipment overlaps heavily with existing nations in the game (like the Soviet tech tree). Many designs are licensed or modified versions of Soviet vehicles, which wouldn’t offer much new to gameplay.

The Visegrád Group is a modern political alliance, not a historical military alliance. These countries didn’t collaborate militarily in a way that would justify combining them into a single tech tree. Historically, they had very different paths during WWII and the Cold War.

While Poland does have a navy, it isn’t nearly large or diverse enough to sustain an entire naval tech tree. Most of their naval power during WWII came from British-built ships or other foreign designs, like the ORP Błyskawica, which is already in the game as a premium in the British tree.

And Hungary is already a sub-TT to Italy, while Czech is already in the USSR TT.
Or am i wrong?

Yep, muhaha all shall fear ASRAAM

If i we talking in regards of the Air Tree then it will be comparable to the Israeli/Chinese Air Tree. However in regards to the Ground Tree will be vastly different from Israel, it will have more vehicle variety then continuously having Magachs. Of course it still depend on Gaijin as Israel had more to offer.

Should already be on the US F-16A-10

It’s not necessarily, that it’s not “the best”, but more so ordnance and features that would make it more unique are withheld and then not revisited later along side others when they are added later. Take for example the F-4E, and the fact that it’s a franken-plane with mix and matched features & ordnance to hold it to the ascribed BR and so is missing things like the GBU-9(GBU-8 w/ M118E1 3000lb bomb as the warhead in place of the 2000lb Mk. 84), Pave Spike / Pave Tack and the ASX-1 TISEO even though two of the latter are present on the Kurnass 2000, and there is no “early” F-4E / F-4D in the US tree that would not lack said features.

Okay lets get through the easiest things. Yes I know Hungary is a sub nation to Italy, but could be potentially changed with Romania. Also about the Czeck’s

No, Hungary is there to stay as an Italian subtree, they have a plan to add all minor Axis powers to it, that’s very unlikely to change

I also cant stock laughing at the thought of [player] killed by penguin in the kill feed

It’s an IR anti-ship missile I think, so you could probably get an air kill with it if you got really lucky

I’m not sure, being able to spend more time in matches performing scoring actions and having more opportunities to perform score actions might be able to mitigate lower score return on the individual basis.

It 's certainly an upgrade for Coastal where the queues have been long and TTK is on molecular scale, target rich environment etc. etc.

So that just makes it even funnier

Coastal maybe, but for Bluewater I’d rather wait in a queue for 5 minutes and get 100% the reward from the match rather than 20 seconds in the queue to get 25% the reward from the match.

Also fighting bots is just boring target practice

@THEPolishThunder

I get that you want Visegrad, but: Gaijin has stopped making good, possible standalone tech trees independent and instead turns the only viable standalone tech trees into sub-tech trees to avoid putting in much effort creating new models. By adding sub-TTs, they can reuse assets, slightly modify existing vehicles, and integrate them into existing trees without the need for full development of unique vehicles, minimizing workload while still expanding content.
Thats why India is a sub-TT and why BeNeLux is a sub-TT.

So my that setting Korea won’t come anyway lol

While the Visegrád countries do purchase a lot of equipment from other countries, you will find that would be mostly common with the MBT’s/ Medium tanks of the tech tree. The Visegrád countries have a lot of unique support vehicles, ranging from APC’s to SPAA. The Visegrad politcal alliance can be traced back a long time. The alliance traces its origins to the summit meetings of leaders of Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland, held in the Hungarian castle town of Visegrád. But then other history interferes with that relationship. These countries did collaborate with military vehicles, for example the Turan series was based off the Czeckoslovak T-21, Poland and Czeckoslovakia developed the OT-64 togather. The navy part is a tough one, as I my self haven’t done any proper research into this subject.

Well there is a tech tree coming in 2026 after all, the candle has not been put out yet.

You never know with this company, they say they will do something but then they change up.
