This is, in fact, an excellent idea. It would be great to have the K-21 there.
I understand all of this, both US and South Korea have a military connection however what im saying is in what category is the US lacking that it needs a sub tree and why waste an potential tree for just 10-15 vehicles when you can have 3x times that.
If subtrees hadn’t been implemented like the current rubbish they are, the US could’ve had a complementary Canadian TT.
You wanted the canadian leo for the US ?
No. Again, if subtrees weren’t implemented like they currently are, I’d agree to a Canadian complementary TT. This is the change I’d like: Subtree Rework - Nation Folders
I do not want to see Leopards in the US, I want to see Canadian Leopards.
No, just no. There is no justification for Canada to join the US tree.
Canada’s domestic stuff? 99% of it was going to be used by the British and the rest uses British tech.
Canada’s C&P? 99% of it is British or have British relations.
On top of that more then 50% of all problem of the Canadian military was the caused by the US.
If you think Canada fits in the US tree you hate Canada and the Canadians.
For the third time, I don’t want Canada to be in the US tree. I want them to have their own tree, but under the wing of the US, since they’re both North American nations.
A Canadian Leopard is still a leopard in the end. Tbh, what does Canada have that the US could actually use? The low tier stuff we either have or it wouldn’t make sense in the US tree. The CL-13 are literally just license made sabres. Some stuff is unique and fairly interesting but has more technical ties to the UK. At higher tiers, the US will get LAV, Canada or not. CF-18 are again, just license made hornets. The leopard is already in Germany, and we have Abrams which tbh I like more than Leopards
I guess the folder thing would work but would have to both have US and UK
What about the Cougar.
Is that not just an LAV?
It’s a LAV with a Scorpion turret, cursed, I know, but unique.
Besides there are other interesting vehicles like the Lynx or the M113 with the Kramer-Eureka missile launcher turret.
Temu Stryker MGS
A domestic hull with British Tech, I wonder where that belongs the most?
Oh, right the UK tree. Just like Canada
It would belong in a Canadian tree.
It’s based off a swiss hull though. And made by a subsidiary of a US company. With a British turret
Just because two nations are on the same continent doesn’t mean they belong in the same tree.
The CF-105? The UK was the only nation to ever look at using it than just Canada.
The Achilles and AVRE? Wouldn’t exist without Canada building the prototypes.
What nations used/looked at the majority of the Canadian stuff? The UK and BeNeLux.
Until the 80s there was British stuff as primary vehicles and it would be until 2024 that Canada’s WT possible vehicles wouldn’t have a British one in the mix for some time.
But NORAD
NORADs only job(oh an tracking Santa) is to stop nukes from falling on NA it has no power outside the continent.
That’s a pretty important job though no? And they do air defence stuff as well. There isn’t relationship like that with the British, which is why if Canada comes it should be as a folder tree
And said important job doesn’t have anything to do with the combat side of the forces.
And ignores that fact WW2 makes up a large part of WT and Canada was well integrated into the British chain of command to the point we had people decently high up the chain. (And we had to ship everything Canada built to the UK after passing testing in Canada of them to see and green light)
As a “folder”(under the sub-trees rework) Canada makes the most sense in the UK tree.
