Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

because Japan made and domestically modified the one type of F-15, while the other F-15 are all completely of American origin

french players are NOT happy about the idea of an Indian rafale in UK though. same with russian players and their flankers

happy that others are getting they tech they exported, showing off how the vehicle did ok outside of the nation

Yeah that’s not what I noticed when brits got a Gripen

But why should that equate to an “I get it all and you can have the scraps” mentality, there are more than enough F-15s to go around, and none make more sense for Japan than the SG

Well especially when said Rafale and Flankers are top tier in their origin nation and go to subtrees of nations that have their own top tiers (UK already has Typhoon for example)

same applies to US though, F-15’s are our top tier after all

I don’t care about rafale going to a potential new tech tree, i do mind when it go to a current tech tree or come throught a sub tree that make no sense to have it for the main tech tree.

Didn’t say it was alright, as someone who’s currently grinding France I find it kinda stupid that it’s way easier to grind F-16 through French tech tree than US tech tree

Or maybe it because the French and Swedish are also major exporter nations.

The only TT that isn’t a “major exporter nation” is Israel.

So all the examples used to counter my point is like say the US is a minor exporter nation.

someone knows nothing about the israeli defence industry…

F-15JSI wont be a thing for a few more years (considering there are no more delays even) and non of the “alternatives” you mention are nearly as CAS capable as an F-15SG.

See I think the issue is where the vehicle goes, Britain doesn’t need a Rafale, but if for example, Sweden had the opportunity to get a Eurofighter, I’d be all for it, because they kind of need the help, same with Japan actually, someone posted an old sales pitch for a Japanese Eurofighter on here a few days ago and the concept is really cool, I’d be fine with that because Japan doesn’t have a stacked TT.

The US already has a stacked TT, they don’t need the extra help, but their vehicles can be used to help out a lot of other nations where they have gaps, or are lacking in variety, so why are you so averse to sharing?

Wait, don’t tell me they tested it ?

It was a for example, I don’t think they did, but if there was a reasonable reason they could have had it, say for example if one of the Scandinavian countries used it, I think it would have been a reasonable addition, unfortunately for them, that isn’t the case

This does not mean that Japan has to get the best CAS (at least I think the F-15E is quite good at the present and in the future), both the F-2 and the Gripe E are good enough.

Because of this here ?

Sweden will have the gripen e and gripen ng, they would have no need for it anyway.

Japan will have enough top tier planes with their sub tree too, no point introducing eurofighter there.

I’ll be happily awaiting the Danish + Norweigan + Finnish F-35 trio.

as it stands, there is only 1 4th gen from USA that isnt being spammed to everyone, the F-14. id like to try and reduce the amount of F-15 spammed outside of US.

another thing is, the USAF doesnt just put every variant of an aircraft into full service, so there are big jumps in capability that could be alleviated by adding stuff like F-15SA, QA, SG and F-16E

what variants do they operate? i think for F-35, it is only fair the US should be only nation to get all 3
