I don’t think H class (just H-39) would be too powerful though, just a larger Bismarck with 8 16" guns instead of 15". Probably not much anti air either.
H-41 and up are completely unrealistic as they were never laid down, and have rediculous statistics
Gaijin already saids they are not interested in ‘modern’ naval missiles, and even they are implemented they are useless against armored ships(because they are not desgined to face such ships)
And CIWS is just anywhere worse than Bofors and Oerlikons. Only 20 seconds of burst, and it will silenced because of ammo shortage.
And you did not mention about crew too. More than 20% of crew diminished after modernization, which is huge nerf ingame.
I think modernish (90’s after all) missiles would be pretty effective against even armored vessels since, y’know, that’s what made them almost completely obsolete
what armored ship obsolete was guided bomb fall from high altitude bomber, and value for money compared to aircraft carrier. Modern missiles never was to be designed against armored vessels, and armoured vessels were already almost out of service when such missiles were developed.
Modern anti-ship missiles are mostly just HE-fragmentation warhead unless it’s warhead is too small to make enough fragmentation(in that case they use SAP). Exocet for case even use VT fuze to wide spread fragment against unarmored part of ships.
That is for comissioned ship. Stands different for non-comissioned ones. Only example of two different ship with same non-comissioned ships were Z-46 and Z-47, which has serious difference in AA armament design.
wait, so if missile ships get added, missile iowa will be excellent? bc they will be at much higher BR, and missile iowa is well armored and protected against most cold war and modern anti ships threats.
ww2 iowa will be good in current meta but bc of the extravagance of some laid down ships (they were never actually completed for a reason), it wont be that good which is why it should actually come in both a ww2 and early cold war version. one which is just ww2 iowa ofc, and the cold war one with the historical and correct W23 nuclear shells (15-20kt)
