the main problem is, USSR is gone, wogether with Cold War, Armament Race, and all the Cold War monsters.
now, when 120mm and 125mm is coming to a their extrems, we may see the big guns coming back.
and actually, we already seen, KNDS has developed their new 140mm gun

i have a suggestion for war thunder to add some SPAAs like s-300 to the game, let add their radar vehcile as a remote vehicle, so it will go wherever you want :)
if they hit it you have to repair it if you lose it you will lose your radar or something like that or even death if you lose the radar vehcile
you can send radar vehicle to a safe place or close to you lol it will be amazing
also you can turn it off, so enemy jet RWR wont be aware of you
another suggestion: you have two radar vehciles, if you lose one, it will take 30 seconds to have another last one :)
another suggestion: seperate radar site out of the battlefield, whenever enemy hit it, it will take one min to be repaired so s-300 or patriot can use it after one min of repairing, it will be a challange for CAS
more balanced against CAS
I think the better idea is you can place the radar unit similar to how ammo crates were introduced, it’s more gamey but allows you to be mobile without worrying about protecting a separate vehicle until you get into a position you like

in real world, you have to protect the radar vehicle
recently israel had a air strike against iranian s-300, they have fired one missile into its radar and the system no more worked
war thunder is far removed from the real world, and leaving control up to an AI leaves too much out of the players hands to be fun gameplay.
IRL you’d be using systems like these with a whole unit’s worth of men, and several more vehicles, there is no way to implement them realistically.
that is how that works, and why people want anti radiation missiles so much, you take out the radar and the radar missiles don’t work any more

no game can be FULLY realestic
Yet in Ukraine you have Data link, the Radar controlling the battery isn’t essential as long as you have another feed. Be that an EAWACs aircraft or another ground based Radar.

thats the deal, you have to protect your radar, better than adding only spaa with radar or IR systems
we need SPAAs like s-300 and patriot in the game
there is lack of SPAA liek pantsir for all nations
exactly, so having a system like yours only works fully mobile radar units, the ammo crate system works even with less mobile units
