Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Is the Kfir C.10 not missing its proper engine as well?

There are some reports under review for this. However its not confirmed currently.

Though that line is wierdly drawn.

Like Germany and Italy not getting PGMs on their Tornados despite being the perfect option for FnF standoff weapon for Germany prior to the Typhoon (aka, the past 2 years)

Going forward, I wonder about the Typhoon. Britain never operated the IRIS-T. Germany and Italy never operated the ASRAAM. Will all 3 Typhoons get both and have the ability to carry both? Very powerful combo.

as far as I know, the Japanese F-15J was not modified like the F-4EJ. So now we just have to wait and watch as the Japanese get CAS capabilities for the F-15J

This was tested on a Tornado GR.1. Which is not the same variant as the IDS and had modifications between them.

Isnt F-15J licensed copy F-15?
But with smaller armament for ground strike operations

When that can be proven with a report (F-15J retained all capabilities), it is most welcome. Sadly stating it doesn’t make it so or mean anything will come.

F-15J was license built by Mitsubishi, the specifics of its capabilities are not guaranteed to be the same as the US F-15s

Most of these bug reports have been passed, but here they are anyways:

F-84G

Implemented perfectly, nothing to report

Missing W6 LERX (Accepted)

Missing Additional Countermeasures (Denied)

This one likely requires a new report, though that might be difficult without images of the Thai F-5s actually mounting additional ALE-40s

F-16A Block 15 OCU

Missing AGM-65G (Accepted)
Community Bug Reporting System

Can’t carry AMRAAM (Open)

Missing Additional Countermeasures (Denied)

Likely needs to be resubmitred, but since images of Thai F-16s with the additional dispensers exist it will be easier than the F-5T report.

Additionally the current tail mounted ALE-40/47 can carry small caliber countermeasures and does so on any other F-16 in the game. The in game “30 small, 15 large” is simply unnecessarily limiting, so I’ll likely make a report for that soon

Gripen

Incorrect Targeting Pod (Accepted)

Missing center mounted armament (Accepted)

But mainly what I meant was if there would be a dev server-like period sometime soon where the devs specifically focus on working out issues of vehicles from the last update, since the actual dev server was so short?

Basically, like all thing from Storm Warning, it is hopelessly unfinished but the devs are working on it

Missing on the rest too. Why Gaijin wont fix that is really wierd. Would be such a good buff for the other nations as well, pertciularly Sweden, given the compromising you have to do with the Gripen

Sad Rodney noises

Nakajima Ki-201 and Lockheed T-33 are vastly inferior to F-84G, and would be at least 0.7 lower in BR.

That request is a definite no.
From a player that knows a bit about data security; that is both a security concern and a gameplay behavior concern.
I hope the data they have stays classified for as long as War Thunder is a PVP game with an economy and balance system.

There are some things better off not knowing in order to protect yourself and others.

The Ki-201 has better gun armament (4 x 20mm or 2 x 30mm + 2 x 30mm) and can carry 1,000 kg of bombs. The T-33A has the same mounted armament as the F-84G, but has 2 x M2 instead of 6 x M2.

What about flight performance?

The F-84G is probably better in air RB because it has it’s airspawn that makes it OP in a downtier.

The resources spent on sub nations take away from what could have been spent on indigenous vehicles, so no, that’s untrue. Sub nations do take away from indigenous additions.

Forwarded the rest that have not yet been passed for consideration.

Due to the Christmas / NY break, the devs likely haven’t had time to check these out fully yet. Hopefully that will be possible in the coming weeks.

Since about Topic about Japan
I found that there is interesting devs mistake or addition for Ki-64 tei which ingame is classified as interceptor but in real life its a fighter.

This is incorrect. The implication was that the presence of these sub trees mean domestic vehicles cant or wont appear. This is indeed incorrect as sub trees do not prevent any domestic vehicles or take away a trees ability to receive them. As evident by the Fox and Scimitar most recently.

The Ki-201 has the Kikka’s gun armament, and 1 800kg bomb. Not bombs, bomb, singular.
There’s a reason I said “at least” 0.7 BRs lower, because flight performance issues can make them go lower.
Trainers aren’t typically the most performance-driven aircraft.

@Shay
Sub tech trees never take away from indigenous additions.
If that was the case why is Challenger Mk2 and Mk3 in the game?
Why is Tornado F3 Late in the game?
Typhoon?
