Su-27 was actually just an airplane designed to compete with both the F-14 and F-15, as they leaned heavily on both designs for shaping the Su-27. The program that birthed the Su-27 also birthed the MiG-29. The idea was to have a lightweight fighter and a longer-ranged interceptor. The Su-27 is that plane.
If we used chronology to add planes at the same time, or BR, we should’ve had the Su-30M added with the F-15C MSIP II, and the Su-33 with the F-14B at a bare-minimum.

Pretty sure the J-11 has the Su-35 camo while the J-11A has a J-16 inspired camo

Even if they added Su-30M2, it would be just a heavier Su-27SM.
