God knows but as I said Russia is the last nation that needs a sub
Thats why we got this gap:
Smin probably knows best.
Because… thats what i’ve heard back then.
And recently this topic came up again.
The Tiger 105 wasn’t a prototype, it only ever was a paper vehicle.
The Coelian was unfinished, but Gaijin still decided to hide it (and replace it with an equally questionable vehicle).
The Panther II was an unfinished prototype. The configuration of it in-game however never existed, as they didn’t finish the turret.
The Panther F we have in-game was never built. The closest they got was a Panther G hull with the F Turret. But since both halves were built they have decided to mate them in-game.
And knowing Gaijin… They arent going to implemend the Oplot to the Thai sub-TT for Japan.
Since the oplot is a very much anticipated vehicle and Gaijin cant make as much money of Japan then of the USSR.
So my guesses are they are going to wait till the war is over and add the oplot to Russia.
Or probably a captured oplot with a Russian flag.
In my opinion, gaijin could add F/A-18A (RAAF) and CF-18A basic version with AN/APG-65 radar, AIM-9L & AIM-9M sidewinder and AIM-7M Sparrow like USN F/A-18A or F/A-18C Early in 80’s
And upgraded version with AN/APG-73 radar & AIM-120 AMRAAM after basic version
Add the Icelandic Catalina as a premium.
Edit: also i like the idea of everyone but BeNeLux getting a d.xxi
This is one of those things that i dont know if its true or not, but the fact that its so instantly believable alone is an indictment of the way this game is managed.
Yea things can go one way one month and completely changed the next.
I mean they said they can’t put 9L on our phantoms because it will go up in rank.
Yea that fine just make a copy call it the late version and that it but nope completely denied
Thats another topic for Britain duh. Sure, top tie ground and trans-millinnial jets pre-EFT were not what the Brits are known for being the best, but again, the navy, top tier naval. If anything, Britain would be the most powerful navy since most of the ships in the game - including Amagi and Kronstadt - were 1920s design, in the period where the royal navy was the most feared flotilla on earth. We cant see that, the county-class was worst in almost every way compared to prinz eugen, barely on par with pola etc. The hood and renown has terrible APCBC damage and their spread is worse than an AI scav with TOZ 400 meters away.
And also not forget how the CR3TD got an engine nerf because the CR3 production vehicles has a 1200HP engine. China officially left the gaijin ICU(Israel, China, UK) complext, while Israel do get occasional surprises, Britain never really left being a laughing stock.
ICU as of intensive care unit, where before this update, happens to coincide with the 3 worst top tier nations in the game: Israel, China and the UK.
From what I understand there were F-15Cs with APG-63(V)1 and HMS, but I’m not sure about the specific serial we got in game.
Though you’re right about the weapons, which I assume they limited to have more clear and large “steps” in their F-15s so they can have F-15A with 63PSP and SARH only (even if it’s an MSIP that could take AMRAAM), F-15C with 63(V)1 and 9M/120A and then probably the next step is a later F-15C with 63(V)2/3 and 9X/120C.
The F-15J(M) in game is another funny case, with it already being the latest Japanese F-15 (until the JSI is done) but limited to only AAM-3/4 with no AAM-5 or AAM-4B. I’d assume here they will add a variant with experimental nose mounted IRST to add those weapons as well, rather than add them to the existing airframe that very much both could and did carry them.
These seem mostly like gameplay decisions rather than historical ones.
Well naval for Britain is defiantly could of been better, the reason why I say air is because it is the worst tree. I mean how many nations got F-16, F-15s & Mig-29, Su-27.
And what does Britain has ? Oh yes Phantoms and Tornados.
Gaijin made themselves an open goal with their commonwealth statement since we could of had our very own New Zealand F-16 that they brought but at the last min cancelled.
But nope they went to add India because ? Russians
Keep your hopes up though. The Oplot is anticipated enough to draw players and entice them to spend some money. They don’t favor Russia over money.
And with Japan being less popular right now, less played, that just means more players that aren’t close to the Oplot, and might want to pay to speed up the progress. If anything, this is more profitable than adding it to the USSR tree.
I have a very good feeling I’ll be proven right before the year ends
Which honestly is a stupid choice. Russia mains will not be happy as well.
Yea I mean I can understand the connection they were trying to make but like their are much better choices.
Like if they value the suggestions that much then they should of known Hungary, India and the netherlands were a bad idea.
Look at the Benelux the reason why it’s not a tree is because the amount of vehicles.
Even though they clearly knew the Benelux had a suggestion and knew it could.
I’m looking at the area of 5.7 and 8.0 and tell me what so different to Sweden’s pre finland 3.0 ?
As @MAUSWAFFE once again explained, AESA is kind a non-issue.
Sure in theory you get better datalink to target, however once the missile goes active it will never receive datalink information again. This is huge. It means AESA doesn’t have the super magic “ignore notch and chaff” capabilities that people keep touting.
Furthermore, Gaijin adressed the F-2 twice in recent years. First during the devblog for the AJ, which at the time they cited:
However, at the moment, adding the F-2 to the game is not possible due to its significant superiority in the quality of radar equipment and far more advanced air-to-air missiles.
Secondly, in one of the shooting ranges Q&A, Gaijin again mentioned that the radar is still a big factor.
However these responses were during the SARH meta and AESA does have a distinct advantage there (being able to target and hard lock multiple aircraft, essentially turning SARH missiles into pseudo ARH missiles (as long as targets are infront of the launching aircraft).
Now that we have the great equalizer that are ARH missiles, there isn’t much to gain from AESA. You do get faster refresh rates which would translate to better situational awareness through TWS. Though, I’m not sure what the FoV is on the radar as it doesn’t swivel on any axis, thus is greatly limited to the direction the aircraft is pointed, possibly more so than other aircraft.
there are ARH missiles with AESA radars
I only know of one (AAM-4B) and those kind of weapons won’t be added anytime soon and are unrelated to the current AESA discussion which is about aircraft radars.
