lie
1.To make an untrue statement to deceive
2.To create a false or misleading impression
From Merriam-websters.
Thier actions fit second definition of lie. They lied. Full stop. Now I’m done with this. Good day.

The statement was true when they stated it, thus it doesn’t fit the definition you chose.
All your post does is prove Gaijin didn’t lie.
No one’s provoking you.
wouldn’t be trolling if it was
We have been asking Gaijin for years for more open communication. Back then they didn’t like the idea because “people would get mad because they will take our plans as promises”.
Now that we have finally gotten more open communications from them, we have idiots/children ruining it again by spouting “BuT tHeY pRoMiSeD!!1!1!1”.
so they were right back then, how expectable
“We plan to”
clearly means
“We’ve taken a blood-oath to”
/s
for some people it does actually mean that and they’ll see it as a guarantee til they don’t end up doing it
If Gaijin wants to use the excuse (I’ll call it an excuse) that people will misinterpret their statements, then that’s their choice.
It’s an excuse because;
People interpret their actions
People will misinterpret in any eventuality.
However, the only antidote is better communication, not worse and less.
they ain’t saying they’re unsure if they’ll add it yet and don’t know if they’ll be able to finish it in time because they got problems with for example sources, Skin makers, FM designers etc. etc.
that’s a lot of public talking and it sounds very unprofessional
Actually it sounds more professional than dead silence or just acting like there aren’t limitations to things or not specifying why things do or don’t happen.
There’s nothing professional about withholding information, especially important information.
Gaijin are showing an interest in greater quality and quantity of communication, but they shouldn’t get scared and retreat if it doesn’t seem to be going well.
The thing is. Idiots/children saying Gaijin is lying as soon as something that was said to be planned gets delayed, kind of confirm Gaijin’s earlier statement for themselfs.
I do agree that it’s still their own choice in the end, but these idiots/children don’t help our position/argument for current and possibly even better communication.
And finally. No matter how good the communication, there will always be dumb enough people to misinterpret. I mean we already have people that can’t even interpret “it’s planned” correctly.
being professional and sounding professional are very different things
they’re coming from the traditional sales tactic of only talking once the product is done like for example Mercedes, you’re not hearing a lot about how half their Production machines have serious problems and they got trouble meeting schedules because of that either
Only way to break it is…seppuku
I don’t care about some kind of single vehicles. But Britain has too acute a problem of the lack of IFV 8.3+. That’s why I’m following all the news and “in our plans”. I am not pleased that ifv is just indefinitely postponed.
That’s why I’m complaining about this problem.
The British ask about IFV from year to year, they always get the answer “planned”. We’re just tired of it already.
They can just say, “this is not a priority right now,” and we’ll leave it alone. We are ready to wait if necessary. But they tell us “planned” and we wait for every update and our expectations are naturally not met.
Mildly cursed.
