Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

The other issue with sub-trees is that they’d distract from the original tree. We already complain that certain trees get neglected and Gaijin can only add so much one update. Adding sub-trees mean, not every tree will get something.

For example, say we do get Thailand sub-tree in Japan. We could go multiple updates never getting a domestic Japanese vehicle in lei of Thai vehicles. While sub-trees fill some gaps, I do think it would suck to feel like your main tree gets neglected for sub-tree additions.

Well, the thing with the Gripen Skyflashes is, that could only have worked with the A, not the C

I wonder when the Type 81c will get the ARH missile. It’s already modeled visually, and we already have ARH mechanics coded in.

I mean, japan probably isn’t the best example there, with how comparatively few vehicles are left to be added to their trees

Yea the fun thing is this was a big part of the Swedish mobile anti-tank companies during the cold war. The was 366 units of these Swedish trolley vehicles made.

I’ve been wondering something similar abt the background-contrast Strela 's on the Pr.12412 's - we almost had them in La Royale …

There’s still a decent bit left and we’re not quite at the “scraping the bottom of the barrel” bit yet. They’re just not easy additions like another copy paste variant of the Type 10 for example.

I just think that they might actually add it to that Merkava Mk.3 premium on the list to make it somewhat interesting.

Because why add this specific Merkava Mk.3 variant if they don’t model the only thing that would set it apart? The Mk.3B and 3C are already very mid at 11.0.

If they won’t model some kind of system for the APS, it would be the biggest waste of time for them. At that point they could have just added a bas Merkava Mk.3D with some cool irl skin and/or camo netting or a Merkava Mk.4A. Both of which would take far less effort.

That makes sense gaijin has been working on fixing the PUMA for a while and with this system in mind and the new Merkava having a similar system it means it’s probably comming this update

Driver be like:

Indeed we are seeing this with the UK where ZA “replaced” their domestic stuff. Sub-tree are ok but that 1 limit is for the best before the tree ends up everything but the name(and flag) the tree has.

Well yeah, they still have possible vehicles, but a sub-tree would fill gaps that domestic vehicles can’t

To be fair the point was comparatively. Sure, Japan alone has years worth of additions, but still barely a fraction of the US or USSR for example. And this shows in the amount of additions nations get on average each update.

Subtrees can help increase this amount of “future additions”, and with it increase the amount of total additions in the future.

Give BAE hawk pls, finland could have quite a few varients to add to the tt and really make finland have some unique additions rather than copy paste. Also hawk for britain and maybe Gnat for both.
