Gaijin is adding a rank 7 light tank premium to Italy while France and UK still does not have a rank 7 tech tree light tank/IFV, this is tone deaf.

Gaijin has acknowledged that there is a huge request for top tier light tank for IFV/LTs for France (as well as UK), but decided to give an SPAA, although to be fair was also requested.

More egregiously, Smin has just said that top tier premium for France is denied because…there is a lack of lineup in the tech tree existing to support it which they failed to plan ahead for. But will they fix that lack of lineup with this update? Nope.
So Gaijin refuses to invest in France because they forgot to invest in France but they’re still not gonna invest in France.
- Jaguar A Late with Magic 2 and thermal pod was widely requested, but Gaijin has still refused to add it, and instead are now adding a Jaguar with Magic 2s and a thermal pod to UK.
So it’s justified to have some frustration with what has been going on.

Factual statement, AIM-9Xs are obviously still too powerful for War Thunder at this stage.
And AIM-120D is too powerful for a long time as well.

And the British ones don’t get the AIM-9L either and ours already have a targeting pod

I honestly am indifferent about that as a solution.
Well, I agree that France has gotten screwed over in the past week, but the VTT DCA is still an extremely good addition for the French tech tree. There is no reason to be upset about that.

Ofc, I would always welcome more SPAAs to be added to the game for every tech tree, not just France, and fill up all the gaps. Hopefully they keep adding more SPAAs this patch for other TTs as well.

I think AIM-9X Block 1 is probably a natural next step since it’s limited by range, lack of data-link, and maneuverability compared to some of the other more modern IIR seekers.
Once we see R-73M? Some more chinese missiles, fixed Magic 2, fixed AAM-3, and Python 4 introduced, AIM-9X won’t be far behind
It do be pretty much a given that a unflarable all aspect missile that can only be flared when rear aspect using specific flare types is gonna alter the battlefield significantly.
Well, later iteration Aim-9M and R-73M first, then R-74 and every other high end non IIR seeker alongside maybe Aim-9R. Who will be equivalent just because its limited in maneuverability compared to the other options.

No missile is too powerful, its gonna be the same thing (flares wont change yk?) and AIM120D is not much different from AIM120B its just more range idk why people overestimate like this
AIM260 yes might be actually “powerful”
and without any large map smth around 1k Kms, its nothing different

They didn’t add them at the same BR originally, they arrived at the same BR after recent BR adjustments.
Regardless, each is different rank and different weapon configuration, so even though they are same BR, they are not redundant.
probably better radar but gaijin wont accept that, they just gonna copy paste the B version and add more range value

You realize modern Fox 2s can differentiate between different flare types and reject them? We are getting into the no escape types of weapons.
what flare types theres only flares and chaff irl
