Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Inmersion breaking. Don’t see why people want to flood the game with hordes of C&C that, at best, have a different skin from the original product.

Take for example Italy, a nation that barely holds itself by leeching from foreing exports or time travelling Go-Kart. “Future nations” like BeNeLux, Poland or Canada are just going to repeat the same mistake.

Were they really planning to build a submarine with a plane catapult? You guys really are creative lol

Planning? Surcouf was in service during WW2, not just a plan on a paper ^^

And yes, the plane as there too, on a hangar on the back. But no catapult, it was a seaplane ( or hydroplane, always mix them) put out to sea with a crane.

Except between all those nations there are wild differences even within this “fast car” category?

And honestly, immersion hasn’t been such a thing for ages in war thunder, and even then it’s hugely relative.

People will complain at 6 years difference when 1945 vs 1952 vehicles are in question, but 1939 vs 1945 is somehow considered fine? It just doesn’t add up.

I disagree

actually I prefer having the option to play the same tanks over and over again in other nations, I like to take the French shermans as an example here

sure they aren’t 100% original but this is Warthunder, not WoT

you can take more than one tank into battle and having a few where you know exactly how useful they are ready in your tree just makes it much more playable

thats cool, but can you fire Backwards? XD

Any more news on the F-20 thus far lol

I agree. C&P is helpful for lineups and allows for unique play styles when mixed with domestic vehicles.

Didn’t the japanese experiment with this concept too?

Well if you look, Surcouf have 3 sets of torp launcher : front, back, and on the side, so yep it can fire torp in 3 different position, while aiming at some ° on the side with its turret.

that a french Submarine?

this makes me bring up another C&P example!

this type of sub is neat and all but if you wanna go really torpedo hunting with a WWII sub while playing the french navy these will be kinda Meh

now you can go and take one of the few German subs the french conquered and play that one if you get sick of the Underwater Cruisers

Don’t get me wrong, I love anti submarine warfare planes, but the Argus doesn’t have turrets or main guns.
I feel for a prop bomber that would be pushing the limits of what could be considered a viable vehicle for WT.

You got me with the FDB tho

UK judging by the flag

Cannon → sounds French

my apologies

The major issue with C&P is the undermining of the nation that provides the equipment. You are being hard countered by your own equipment, with no compensation, and often improved variants.

The solution is the elimination of trees all together. You can research and spawn in anything you want.

Laughs in 4 5.2 inch guns AND 6 torp tubes
