I must say, the F-5TH doesn’t deserve to be at 13.3, even if they give it the 4 Derbys shown in the teaser, the Kfir C.10 has access to 4 Derbys, an AESA radar with HMD, is faster and it’s at 13.0, even having AIM-9M doesn’t justify the .3 increase because the F-4F ICE has 4 amraams and 4 AIM-9L/Is at 13.0 which is double the missile count as well, it’s also faster, the F-5TH trades that speed for some better dogfight performance but at that BR it doesn’t matter when it’s facing F-16As, it even lost 1 of its cannons, therefore the F-5TH should be put at 13.0.

I wish we get the reasoning behind this. The F-5TH is bound to be on par with the J-8F, C.10 Blk 60, F-4F ICE, viggen, etc at 13.0 so i dont understand why its at 13.3…

Above 600kmh the thrust increases, it’s not a massive change, but it’s a good one.
While in min fuel and at around 1000kph, with the thrust buff, it can now sustain 13G’s for quite a bit, and not only 11.5/12G’s:

True, I’m sure they will change it soon or add new or missiles for it.
And yet they still haven’t given the F-5T SCU its underwing pylons.
The F-5E First Capability Upgrade has underwing pylons for Python 3s, and now the F-5TH Third Capability Upgrade has underwing pylons for Derby but the F-5T Second Capability Upgrade is missing underwing pylons for Python 3s.
Expected, but disappointing

I’d understand 13.3 or even 13.7 if it actually had the Python4/5 IRIS-Ts it actually carries in real life but as it is? No way it should be any higher than 13.0, they recently gave the J-8F IRCCM missiles too which are better than AIM-9Ms for most situations, and J-8F carries 6 total missiles, with many more countermeasures and better fox 3s
Yeah I don’t see the point of the SCU being a sidegrade of the FCU, they can give it the underwing Python 3s and bump it to 11.7/12.0
