While R-73 and Magic 2 are better in dogfights, they have less range than AIM-9M, especially Magic 2.
the 18C at least shouldn’t even be 14.0 to begin with lol.
It’s already incredibly mid for 13.7 lol, putting it at 14.0 would be a slaughter, and not in the good way for the 18C.

In close dogfights people will be slinging R-73s and MICAs from hilarious angles while your pre-led 9Ms will be unable to even head in their direction.
I mean pretty much every nations besides Russia still has BBs to add.

I’m not saying the f-18 will go at 14.0 but that it could still have a chance when it gets dragged up there from whatever br it’s at.

Sure, each missiles have their advantages/disadvantages but I disagree with the characterization that the AIM-9M is the worst missile in top tier.

Context is important. I’d much rather have magic II or R-73 on the typhoon in a dogfight, but would rather have Aim-9M to ambush people. Though 9Ms need their IRL lock ranges
