Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

tbf most of the Kittyhawks were lend lease, and I’m not entirely sure about what Gaijins decisions when it comes to lend lease vehicles being Tech Tree

The Tomahawk on the other hand… well that’s definitely an option

Helmet Mounted Display , basically where ever your cursor goes the missle seeker or radar lock will follow

Oh is it like the circle that’s in your helmet? And you press lock-on it’s like the square that’s on the enemy ship?

A HMD can be activated using a dedicated button and doesn’t just activate automatically during missile launches, and capability for radar cueing through the helmet system has been added. A HMD will provide you with information such as current G-Forces, indicated airspeed, line of sight heading, line of sight (the crosshair), the current designated ground target, altitude in feet and the direction of infrared homing for air-to-air missiles (if the indicator is crossed out, the IR seeker is out of the HMD display).
A HMD also displays information about the onboard radiation warning system, which includes the name of the radiating source, the direction to the source indicated by a diamond, and the line of sight relative to the aircraft, shown as a missing arc on a circle. In addition to this, you can now stabilize the targeting system by simply looking at a ground target and pressing your key. These are the best electronics for those of you who love the F-16, and we hope you’ll appreciate them!

  1. Radar Warning System source signal:
  • name of the vehicle.
  • signal direction — diamond.
  • view positioning — a gap in the circle.
  1. Current G-force.
  2. Indicated air speed, kn.
  3. View direction.
  4. Crosshair.
  5. Acquired target (when strikethrough — the target is out the HMD).
  6. Altitude, ft.
  7. Seeker direction (when strikethrough — the seeker is out of the HMD).

It’s basically headtracking for your IR-missiles (or gun if you’re in a heli)

Exactly

I wish they did. I’m working on a suggestion for the Hunter F6A at the moment.

Literally all it would add is a drag chute 🤣

Hoping maybe a modification

That’s interesting! Is it similar to Conqueror’s APDS, since they essentially share the same gun?

Now were pissed about how bad(woefully poorly portraryed). People would not mind now because they want players of other trees to understsnd that how bad it is now.

From what I’ve seen, it was about 23 pounds at 4500 fps and predicted to pen around 19” at 1000 yards against vertical armor.

Because giving US kit their actual BR is anathemic. Look how (some) Abrams perform at the BR they deserve.

F-14, F-15 and F-16 are under by about a step.

It has a horrible RWR, low amount of countermeasures, extremely hot engines, and no all aspect missiles. Maybe a little decompression is needed, but it’s decently fine where it is right now, especially given that it fights top tier 12.7 jets quite a lot.

Literally nothing that unusual for 12.0 outside of US. Also has crazy flight performance and the longest range ARH missiles in the game paired with a pretty good radar.

Which has more to do with the absolutely attrocious compression issues at top tier. The Abramses deserve 11.7, but in no way should they be at the same BR as the Strv 122s and 2A7V lol.

I would hope decompression happens and Gaijin moves the 122s and 2A7V to 12.7 while spreading everything else over 11.7-12.3, but I fear ground is only getting 12.0.

EDIT: also doesn’t help that you are usually outnumbered 2:1 as the US team after a few minutes.

Well M1IP was under BR for ages and only recently went up. Only for 120mm to get horrendously buffed to the point it makes the M1IP of all things look over BR…

You’ll never hear me argue against decompression.

Still, something suspicious is afoot with lots of BR for US kit. F2G or remember M4 105?

Perhaps US kit are some of the best benefactors of BR compression.

Rear aspect IRs. Probably would be if it had all-aspects

The M1IP went up because it got something better than M774.

The M4 105 has terrible turret traverse and a very slow reload. A US tank that presents any challenge doesn’t mean it’s under BR’d.

It really depends. I would agree so for some of the rank I/II vehicles in the US tree like the M4A3 105 and T18E2, but most of the US at mid and high tier aren’t the cause of the issue.

Honestly I can’t think any specific nation in the mid tiers and somewhat high tiers that causes compression more than others. It’s only at the very top where Swedish MBTs just become so damn oppresive.

I remember when that was 10.7 with m900.

It was only very, very recently put to 11.0 on par with M1A1 which was always criminally low at 11.0

I’m not at all saying they cause it.

Mostly that I would say US tree specialises in capable vehicles Gaijin are reluctant to put up in BR so they stomp, but require a vaguely functioning nervous system.

Textbook examples are T20, 76 Jumbo, regular Jumbo and so on.

It should be, when it gets AIM-9Ls.

I don’t think these are good examples of tanks that Gaijin has been reluctant to move up as all of them have moved up at least an entire BR since they released.

Of course I will agree that they were added at a too low BR.
