no they really do buddy, just because they have AMRAAMs isnt gonna mean they will do well and because of top tier IR missile fights are guaranteed to still happen where both of those planes just lose
None. SAAF Gripen Cs are equipped with IRIS-T with A-Darter Planned (iirc) when they are actually finished and begin production

none lmao they haven’t officially adopted another BVR missile their JAS39C only have A-Darters
yet again why we should have gotten a CF18 not a SA gripen, because they need to make up loadouts for it to even be good

If the meta is volume of fire and BVR. Then it could be. I dont think the US or USSR have anything in their arsenal that would truly compete WVR, not unless we start talking about airframes 15-20 years newer than the early typhoons and rafales.
It will basically be a reverse of the Tornado F3 vs F-16/Mig-29.

the 90s F-18A+ can use the fancy missiles we are getting.

My hope is that when on DL, multipath is mitigated greatly, but when active, its basically the same

Even with fox 3 i think the main meta gonna always be a fireball of planes in the center of the map.
So agile planes with powerfull close range missiles always gonna have a place in the game, as long they don’t work on way larger maps for modern era.
god I hope so, at the very least the SA JAS39C will still be able to force dogfights since it only gets 6 missiles and the worst ARH missile out of the 5 being added
