I’ll have to look later, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people show documents proving otherwise against British spall liners, but we’ll see later.
Ok, so I can’t view the “evidence” because it’s hidden, but it doesn’t sound like documented proof, but rather someone looking at a material on the inside and claiming it’s a spall liner, even tho it’s claimed that the material isn’t actually proper Kevlar.
Have we even seen the source for the ‘noise dampeners’ to show thats what they are, and that they are not infact spall liners. Despite them being spall liners?
What’s the name of this source? Or atleast where is it coming from?
Armor Technology by Paul Lakowski
I see it’s an advertisement for a service, not sure what else I’m supposed to be seeing
What?
They claim to have put spall liners in the chally and several other British afvs.
you don’t make something if no one is buying it
Paul is not a reliable source on these matters, this is the same dude who made the claim that the leopard 2 only has spaced armor in the hull, so he’s speaking broadly on several armoured vehicles and I wouldn’t treat him as some primary soruce for these thaings
Im not the one to question the sources, i jsut give them and let devs decide
also spall liner and sound damper are not mutually exclusive
Reminds me of an old website I saw advertising F-5 upgrades…
Which had no buyers
Well you have to advertise things lol, and you can’t give examples of vehicles you have fitted with liners if you haven’t.
Imagine if they tried to sell spall liners for the Cr3 and the MoD reads this and goes ‘they dont supply us with SL for the Cr2’ you wouldn’t make the sale lol.
These aren’t upgrades though this have numerous made for many vehicles that include Challenger 2
