Some people go “qinetiq dont count”, ignoring the British military has a lot of civilian training and recruitment stuff for a good while now.

It’s possible that multiple nations might get the Alpha jet at the same time, so it’s currently under one name in the files.

I think it is in part the retirement of the Hawk T1 to blame for that. Though the 12 Alpha jets were retired in 2018 according to wiki. So maybe they were just used for evaluation for a replacement

Yes, though the BAE Hawk would be a far better addition over the Alpha jet, as strictly speaking, Britian doesnt use Alpha jets. We use Hawks. Which are a different aircraft.
