Of the 3 or so translation screenshots of the VK post, mine was the only one not in the video.
I did talk to some Russian native speakers about the grammatical implication in the sentence to get some clarity, the comment does seem to imply that this year’s major update cycle will not be as it has been in years prior.
Im surprised there’s been no addressing of that fact by the community managers.
I’d expect a devblog or something laying out any preliminary changes to the update schedule.
Are we still seeing 5 majors a year of equivalent size as before?
Many questions brought up by that comment and I believe a lot of them need urgent addressing.

If it drops to 4, I suspect it essentially combines the last two of the year and it’s quarterly updates.
No matter what’s going on we should be getting devblogs shortly.

This makes so much more sense to me. With or without the change to the event schedule. I liked the October update, but they seem to scramble to get both patches out before the holidays. Best to just tighten down the hatches and give us an early December patch imo.
I really think this move plus scrapping the creative effort that went into the events will really save them some time.
That seems like a reasonable assumption about a plausible scenario. But we should be being told by the community managers and not having to speculate about what seems major and important news.
I believe nobody has. I might as well.
@Smin1080p do you have any information regarding the Russian official VK page comment about patch cycles for this year?
Will there be further communication about these changes?

Wouldnt the fact that there are photos from 2004 showing the JS170 with the starboard cannon installed indicate that it is not a DARIN2v3?
This comment on VK is being slightly misunderstood.
There is no change to the major update schedule. It was in response to the same exact type of questions we get here of “when will the blogs start?” or “they should have started already because the spreadsheet says so”. When in reality, the major updates fall at different times every year.
The comment was clarifying that the update wont be on the same day of release as last year, as they never are. They are always +/- a range of time.
This is nothing new at all and is the same as it always has been.
