Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Nah, its fine, its a good topic to discuss because Subs are more likely than Britain ever getting native Light tanks and IFVs.

But yeah, So many great options for Britain. We’re already kinda neglected naval tree, with things like no radars on our cruisers for example. Would be good if they made us a principle ASW nation.

Battle of the Atlantic was such a fun event (unlike some grinding events cough cough) the submarines were balanced, and it gave use to destroyers focused more on anti sub weaponry instead of screens for the larger ships

Yeah, could change a lot and that event was really fun.

Of course I do! Who wouldn’t want to have a submarine fight like battle ships!

I really apperciate dollar for being one of the few CCs who play naval constantly. Naval is bad, but it is much more than just grabing SLs by farming the few bots that havent been banned yet.

A battle between the M1/M2 and sucourf would be like 1v1 between a jagdtiger and object 268 except they each have nuke loaded

Submarines would be such a great additon to naval, they would make destroyers incredibly useful, be incredibly fun to use, blowing up battle ships etc, and the would encourage actual fleet combat instead of 20 battleships you would need battleships, cruisers and screening vessels.

Along with thay all you would need is an extra line in the bluewater fleet for them, and make coastal and bluewater able to research one another (like helicopters with tanks) and you would be well on the way to fixing naval

I would imagine more missile armed ships coming in the short future. The bravy has demonstrated that they are not very hard to balance, however, it is another case with the American Trio-T mounted ships since they are effectively a hybrid SAM/AShM. A few that would come to the mind would be the Gyatt, Lutjens, perhaps even the Garibaldi.

Naval could be such a fun mode but yeah. I think it will get better though once we have submarines carriers new game modes etc. I still love naval though.

A few british ships with missiles have been suggested:

Yeah, I hope we start seeing more of those, they look fun.

was suggested recently, and apart from the Exocets, the rest of it would be perfectly balanced to come whenever basically.

There is so many awesome ships that could be added with SAMs

Great minds think alike :D

Most voices I head of criticizing naval would be players who both play WOWS and WT, and disliking certain features such as engagements sometimes may start at the games beginning, whilst they are not wrong, it is also undeniable that realistically, ships would almost always crush something a class below them. Before submarines, perhaps steps should be taken to make naval more enjoyable, one thing I could imagine is promoting the importance of staying alive: players with enough score could spawn non-hydroplane CAS whilst being alive, and control them like drones and alter between the ships and plane(in realistic, they could RTB for R&R and auto rearm in arcade). There could also be more NPCs to target, such as tanks or artilleries in certain maps to allow for players who are stock or whose ships are in a full uptier to still be contributing to the game. Lastly, winning top tier naval usually involves the smartest person rushing cap with a PT boat or hydroplane, so something could be taken to address the “one-sidedness” of naval especially in RB.
