I can’t do anything about Russia being behind on IIR tech. The rest of the nations have no issues fielding a missile of that caliber and it still has the flight performance necessary for the discussion. It’s IRCCM is not as advanced, but likely still in the unflarable region as far as in game is concerned.
on the A I dont think so, I think the A will be adjusted to it’s real capabilities once thr C goes to Sweden
but for the C I believe they said at least the skyflash were a placeholder because they wanted to give it some BVR Missile and AMRAAM aren’t yet possible

That is just being pedantic as hell. The devs clearly gave it a missile it never used as it did use a better missile than the 9L, but they don’t want that missile in game yet. Whether it gets replaced in the future is irrelevant

They got AIM-9Ms because the AIM-9L is underperforming, not because the IRIS-T would be overperforming.

It is the definition of a placeholder. It is taking the place of the improved missile version the 9L. It should be an IRIS-T, but they don’t want that level of missile in game yet, so in it place it gets 9M. Really are you that dense?
