I disagree. I usually don’t even use the thermals in the F-16C pod. Gen1 just gives me a headache
This is why I don’t like high/top tier
I’m not a robot I hate having to look at 360 decrees to see what everyone is doing.
This is why I never go high then 10.0
If you prefer not using thermals that would mean for you the Mirage 4000 is the best CAS plane in the game at the moment, which it really isn’t, because in fact its missing thermals. Being able to spot a target or the direction is much important, and sometimes the difference betwen staying alive and not.
Jaguar A **
Wouldn’t the F-16C still beat the Mirage 4000 though in terms of amount of A2G weaponry and thus killing power? (this is assuming the the mavericks all do damage and destroy their targets)
If it can truely be put down to a preference than the gen1 thermals isn’t the end al be all advantage. And surely not something I’m going to put myself in physical discomfort for to use.
I hope gaijin changer thermal pod from gen 2 to gen 3 for JAS39C Gripen this quarter or next quarter
F-16C Block 50 & missing GPS Air-to-Ground munitions, F-16D Block 40 Barak II lack domestic Isreal Air-to-Ground munitions and F-16A Block 20 MLU (ROCAF) none Paveway II LGB, thermal pod and IIR AGM-65
Soviet designs be like:
Good missile, good airframe, good radar and auxiliary software, you can only pick two and the third is neglected
The Italian M26A1 is so incredibly bad. Why is that thing even at 6.7.
I dont even see it being played, 6.7 is one of the few BRs that US mains are doing good and I guess the base pershing got its br raised first
the italian one has 60 HP less then the american one and it weighs heavier. It can also be penned frontaly by almost every shell at its br. Even when angled.
according to my statcards.
Pretty sure Litening II gets Gen 2, not Gen 1.
So does the M26 pershing. One of the few BRs that US mains actually performs well at and Germany players just forced their way to lobbying to raise the BR of the M26, and so does the M26A1. They also have the same horsepowers.
then it might be the case of me not spading the other one…
and also i’m facing US, GE, RU teams… like sometimes all three in one team. They outnumber me and are generally stronger at their br.
If they fix this it’ll be even more GOATed. I’ve learned how to get around it mostly, but there are certainly some frustrations with it.
watch them not fix it to spite people who believe in “only russia gets bugs fixed fast”
all of the Base model Pershings should realistically be 6.3, especially when things like T26E1-1 & E-5 are at 6.7 already
I look at Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 & Tranche 2 standard from 3 nations and Rafale F2 better F-15E Strike Eagle with AN/APG-70 radar 90’s & early 2000’s but close to F/A-18E Super Hornet Block II
I’m not really sure. When I test drive my F-16C it’s pretty blocky and clearly looks close like gen1 tank thermals.
However I have also had a friend say the same thing as you, they even test drove the gripen and that showed thermals closer to gen2.
So all in all I’m not completely sure.

f16c gets 2 thermals one is built in (looks like) the other is the pod, you couldve been using the built in one this whole time
which means that yes thermals are more important :)
