Legacy Hornet I think used both the F404-GE-401 (F/A-18A/B) and F404-GE-402 (F/A-18C/D), so it’s deffo the F-20’s

I dont know too much on the engine but wiki has a list of planes using the F404, I assume the 100 is an earlier engine so, F20?

If not, I do wonder which on the list it would be.

What have i just watched.

The F404-100 series was meant for the F-20
It started with the YF404-GE-100 (16,000 lbf, prototype 1), F404-GE-100 (17,000 lbf, prototypes 2 and 3), and F404-GE-100A (4th prototype and production aircraft, 18,000 lbf)

Can’t wait for the F-20 to be an overpriced premium instead of filling the huge gap between F-5E and F-16

If i remember something like “late” variant was only planed and changes has to placed Kopyo radar in nose of the aircraft and Shval system would be under the radar. That’s all i find. 20 planes was planed to modernized but nothing happend duel to lack of money, some of those Su-25s were sold to Iran.

Tejas used this engine as well. Maybe we will see another indian jet
