Nah, Gripen E is heavily nerfed. The mechanical Typhoon is blind. F-15SG with AESA radar, F-15E flight performance, and AIM-120D is destroying Gripen E and mechanical Typhoon.
Eh i don’t think you really have to especially when f15ge already has aim 120d. The golden eagle radar and f15sg radar is the same too.
Gaijin is kinda weird on that, but if it gets AIM-120D it will be a true rank 9
F15EX dev blog and trailer today.
Sunday? No way
Smin is still on his long break so hes obviously preparing for the trailer, i predict its today and my prediction is never wrong
Yeah nah I won’t follow that cope, nothing ever happens on sundays
I expect it next Thursday now
For the 9L i suppose its a question of when the greeks received the F-5s.
For the Penguin i dont think so. I think there is large enough discrepancies in the current implementation of the Penguin on the F-5 as is.
1986 I believe
So before the CM dispensers were fitted under the Program Update Freedom Fighter then. Did the greek use CM dispensers in their service?
As for the AIM-9L, i dont think the RNoAF used them on their F-5s at the time, but they were probably compatible to the aircraft. Perhaps some minor software updates would be required to use them?
its basically irrelevant even for F-14 spam and land. 2m/s drift is completely irrelevant to even plane flying straight (i challange you to fly a plane and keep 2m/s) and all ARH missiles in game get 2 way datalink, as you can see on your radar screen.
So if you can get your shoot in the araam C battery its the same
the 2 m/s drift is the amount of drift the missile has after losing a hard lock, aka how far itll deviate from the actual predicted path of the aircraft.
The 0m/s guidance drift lets you, if you keep DL, guide the missile with way more accuracy then the traditional datalink found on accuracy, meaning that even if the person is in multipath or a notch as long as they dont notch your won radar the missile has a way higher chance of hitting.
I am not gonna argue about the 2-way-datalink
it doesnt do a whole lot in total but it does do something (too bad most planes with these missiles cant really keep DL´ing thanks to their bad gimbal limits)
Well for starters the F-15SG isn’t an advanced eagle
2m/s is literally irrelevant for ANYTHING a plane does. Please actually try to fly a plane in air RB within few seconds of that drift, its literally impossible
Fair enough but it’s a F-15E variant yeah? And US F-15Es have AIM-120D afaik.
But only integrated later, it entered service after some F-15SG were delivered and the design was of course already finalized. Very first SG flew in 2008 but 120D only entered service 2015
i have, thats why i am saying this…
plane that is afk or doing anything else is gonna have by far more random deviation (acceleration in various planes) than anything this IOG drift will ever do.
This will only and only affect you hitting a helicopter thats stationary that you see on hypothetical pulse radar
Very first SG flew in 2008 but 120D only entered service 2015
Tbf I’m sure there are aircraft in-game that have missiles from other country’s similar variants despite receiving the aircraft before the missiles got integrated, so that likely wouldn’t stop the F-15SG from getting it in-game.
True, but the differences in the 120D from a C-8 are enough to put technical compatibility into question imo, surely it would require avionics updates to make full use of GPS and 2 way DL
