Sweden is gine as they are. Their Strv 122s are sidegrades to the 2A7s and they have 3 of them in a single lineip.

the 122s a sidegrade to the 2a7v but if we were to get the 2a7a1 or 2a8 then we would need a new STRV

and that is my issue, especially given the fact that the US is not in that desperate need of a new MBT and yes, I do think Britain is one of the nations that need a new MBT in the form of a Challenger 3P4. (with the best shell currently in-game at the time of its addition for the record). Still would probably be a glass canon, but a glass canon that would hopefully be worthy of being 12.7.

i dont even think we need a new MBT we just need them to fix the current CR3 and all of the CR2s but a new CR3 would be nice

the CAPTOR-M phoons got much worse after the SU30SM was added and the legacy hornet to an extent simply because of its bad radar and low missile count at the time

The current “CR3” is “fixed”. It was just a Challenger 2 with the new gun. (put really really simply) Thats it. They wont add anything to it that would actually make it better. What we need is an actual Challenger 3, not the Challenger 2 LEP (what the CR3TD is literally called in the files)

the current “CR3” is definitely not fixed it has the challenger 2 damage model from pre rework the same issues as all the challenger 2s when it comes to the armour and a slower reload for god knows what reason and even if we do get a real challenger 3 i wouldnt put it past gaijin to make it the cr3TD with an armour kit and a machine gun on the roof

But even with that, its not going to change much. The round will pass cleanly between the cheeks, and without any spall liners or blow out panels, will explode 100% of the time.

Its slow and relatively large.

Its good at one thing only, which is firing DM53 and praying it doesnt get spotted

Challenger 3P4 would add LWS, Spall liners, ERA, blowout panels I think, maybe an engine buff (not the full 1500, but a bit), maybe APS, maybe a shell buff depending on whats about, etc etc

Atleast its 12.0, and facing 11.0 with it while firing DM53 from a L/55 is just Nuts :3

Eh… It almost never actually faces 11.0s though, Ive found it exclusively gets uptiered and even then, still weaker than the M1A1 HC, Clickbait and M1A2 also at 12.0. Still remains a giant glass canon and can be one shot by anything at 11.0 with ease

and uptiering the 11.7 lineup just for it, seems like a waste to me.

gaijin will make the normal CR3 worse i garuntee it will keep the 1314hp but be 66T instead of 62.5

shouldnt the CR3 have hull side and LFP spall liners as its an unchanged CR2 hull? also idk why it doesnt have a 5.0s reload still

maybe if gaijin fixed the mantlet armour… also hull side and lfp spall liners will be lifesaving sometimes if someone shoots the hull.

if it got spall liners on the side of the hull side it would be quite survivable because no hull ammo + plus no turret basket
