Other nations are likely receiving their SM backup with this update. Sweden remains stuck on its Leopard 2A4 10.7.
I think everyone can agree on this, I personally enjoy the Aircraft vs SPAA aspect of CAS more than I do mowing down tanks but it seems like I’m stuck between killing myself quickly for 2-3 tank kills because there’s an SPAA up that I have to worry about or I decide to take the fight with the SPAA before going for any tank kills but I’m stuck wasting time trying to kill one SPAA while he intercepts all my missiles. Also I can’t even fight an SPAA alone half the time and there’s a high chance low flying clouds completely obscure my vision. It seems like CAS in War Thunder is set up specifically to encourage suicide runs for a few tank kills

The F18E can carry GBU-53 as well
If I had it my way I’d set up a reward system in War Thunder where actively engaging in a fight that doesn’t directly result in a kill for both sides would still reward the players for their activity during the fight and the longer the fight goes on the more rewards both players would earn. This way, time wouldn’t feel wasted if a fight goes on for way too long and it could acknowledge lost rewards for SPAAs and Aircraft that kill themselves when they realize that they’re about to die denying rewards to their opponent

And yes, no matter how much you keep overestimating the SEPv3, Gaijin would have to do a massively favorable implementation to make the SEPv3 better than the 2A7HU. Such a favorable implementation has generally never happened after the M1 and IPM1 in 2018 so there is no evidence that Gaijin will do it now.
There are 3 types of implementations for the SEPv3:

unfavorable = same or only slightly improved hull armor over the SEPs but with the significant weight increase → Worse than the SEPv1.
-
neutral/moderate = uses the 35% increase in KE protection (so ~ 500mm KE on the LFP) from the hull armor upgrade that was developed for the M1A2 back in the 90s (but never implemented) as values for the NGAP and the increased weight → You would trade mobility for some situational armor, would likely mean the SEPv1 is still better for good players but the SEPv3 would be easier to play for worse players.

favorable = Gives the SEPv3 a very favorable guestimate for it’s hull armor that is able to at least give some of the top tier darts a run for their money and gives it the additional weight → This one would arguably the first implementation that would be a flat out upgrade over the SEPv1.
Agreed. Challenger 3 prototype should have been here already, just like the SEPv3. Both should have released with the 2A7V.
No need, just fix the current Merkava Mk.4s. That way they would instantly have 3 counterparts.

Fixing the Type 10s would be a good way. Also I’m curious how the Leo 2RI will turn out in terms of capabilities.

There is also a prototype APS that could be added - otherwise there may be a new Type 10 variant some time next year iirc and yea, fixing mobility and reload would do a lot.
Its a basic 2A4 with some internal changes like an APU, but gets the AMAP add on armor which you can also find on the Strv 122B+, sadly it still has the Gen 1 thermals as far as I am aware, at least I coudn’t find anything on new sights.

All they gotta do is just buff the acceleration to at least simulate the cvt performance, fix the steering issue loosing all its speed in one small turn, and some weird armor holes it has. They could go as far as to buff turret traverse and gun handling since its either classified or up in the air where it should be at so gaijin has more freedom there. These changes would make the Type 10 more of a flanking monster which is what I always believed is where its playstyle should be.

yes it does, but i was thinking something actually italian like fixing the amv or just adding the ariete C2
this would add better armour electronics and more over the current AMV and might make italy not terrible at top tier
not overestimating it at all, it is a 2a7v and 122b+ sidegrade, 2 tanks not many nations have and we 100% need other nations to also get equivalents as i have been saying
some more things could also be listed

i believe the leclerc XLR is the more fit choice for france and i think if the sepv3 were to be added germany should get the leopard 2a7a1 so they have a top tier aps tank
the type 10s are in desperate need of a fix but japan can get the type 10 prototype with an aps (thank you ares i read that while typing this)

and the leopard 2RI will be interesting as it will be i believe like a 122b+ armour type on the hull but the turret will be that of the PL so im not sure how great it will be on that front but at the end of a day its an up armoured leopard so you cant go wrong with it

I agree with pretty much everything in your post, although maybe not fully with the Australian SEPv3. I’m mostly against the true end of the line current in service MBTs of nations being shared through sub trees unless they are seriously modified, at least for a time period.
I also wouldn’t want to see the dutch 2A8 until Germany has had it for at least a good while.

I mean Japan is currently making Type 10s with 30mm RWS and APS package so just gotta wait a little longer for that would be cool though

The challenger 3EPSOM was passed not that long ago and its making me hope now with the sepv3 being passed we might be seeing a big ground update fairly soon but i am worried with how gaijin would implement it with how they do things the tank would be heavier with the base Challenger 3 stated to be 66T this armour package would definitely get it into atleast the low 70s and while irl the armour is most probably unmatched in nato thats not the case ingame with how terribly gaijin models nato ERA and not to mention it will most likely keep the 1314hp engine as they havent officially confirmed its 1500hp even though its widely speculated
the Sepv3 was a last minute edit to the post before sending it but i personally wouldnt mind it and neither would australians as most of them want there vehicles represented in the british tree from what i know
and the dutch 2a8 i never mentioned. the 2a7a1 is a german 2a7 upgrade to add trophy to there 2a7 fleets while the 2a8 was in development
