Depends 9.7 would make it outrange all SPAA which is unbalanced it shouldn’t also be .3 BR difference from something like the Tornado which is 10.0 hell the F-35 is 10.7 in ground lol
also 9.3 like yak-38 (with rear aspect R-60) or at much lower BR with no missiles at all like the L-39
Finland could add the Folland Gnat and MiG-21F-12; the latter would have a major balancing problem due to the Paris Treaty (no guided missiles on Finnish aircraft until 1989); or Gaijin could just ignore that and give it its K-13s ‘because the Soviet MiG-21F-13 carried them’, and that would give the Swedish tree a nice, supersonic missile slinger at Rank VI BR 8.7/9.3/9.7 alongside the somewhat lackluster Hunter J34 and Saab J29F Tunnan.
… but this isn’t the suggestion thread and I don’t even know why we are talking about this in the RR&D.

they can add them, but it would be a Mirage IIIC situation again like in 2020, with very OP missiles, but it can’t really defend unless it uses rockets as flares. With R-60M it could get added, but just be really annoying to fly. Aim-9M is out of the question imo.
But the 9M is the most unique thing as it’s the only hawk that has them

I’m still a bit giddy about finally getting the bombs and rockets the French F-100D DID carry alongside the AIM-9Bs after literally years of players complaining about this and even showing the pictures of the French F-100Ds with all of the weapons laid out in front of them.

If they do add it, it would be 12.7 or maybe 12.3, which would be very unfun. We would need loadout-dependent BR’s to fix that. :D

Seriously though I can keep going, I have plethora of aircraft that are unique because of their armament but can’t be added because of their modifications/armament
maybe, but imo, Sweden was just really late with using technology like countermeasures and just didn’t have enough development/procurement variety to be a standalone tech tree for 1970s+ jets. They badly need(ed) other nations to fill in the gaps, which is very slowly happening with the Norwegian and Danish additions this year and 2025. To say Gaijin doesn’t care is disingenuous, it seems like they are just really slow.
imo they should just add a copy J35XS in the finnish subtree (like JA37DI F21 and JA37DI) (and also add rb28/27 to both XSs)

That’s weird, I know there’s images of our F-100F with bombs and rockets but the main difference with air aircraft is we had the multibomb racks available for our F-100 alongside I believe Shrike missiles as they were tested with a few units bought, I’d need to double check.
Dang I almost forgot how long it’s been since it was actually fun to fly the Super Catfish with how compressed air is.
They did have them lol, the recon models of Draken had the CMs mounted just not the fighters
Unfortunately gaijin doesn’t give Sweden the CM compatibility treatment like the US

People buy the XS because it’s unique. People buy the F21 so they have a prem with 120 missiles.
And besides they got forced into that because the JA37D literally had the AMRAAMs and it was dumb to try and sell us the same aircraft we had in the tree
F-100F and our starfighters are unique in equipment over our Norsk counterparts

Tbf I say they don’t care because they literally don’t. Take the F16 for example Norway is one of the handful of nations with IRIS-T on their F-16.
We don’t, Kongsberg also tested a A2G laser guided IRIS-T on their F-16.
Gaijin if they actually cared about making unique aircraft on Sweden would’ve added them later and add our F16 at 13.7 so that when gaijin gets to adding next gen missiles the Norsk F-16 can get it’s unique equipment rather than Penguin
