If you want to use sound Mods again due to issue that were had its currently on the WIP client so you would have to enable that on your launcher to use them again. you can do this Via Steam as well

Im literally playing with soundmods rn and checked the launcher and WiP client isnt enabled there for me. Im just as confused as dazai here
will it effect the fps? (the work in progress)
