Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

i remember coming across a image showing the firing, either way its functionality is being tested on US airframes

If there is direct evidence they are fully compatible with weaponary without requiring a modification, then yes its possible to suggest it for sure. But as far as been discovered so far, there was never any steps taken to arm them or upgrade them.

couldn’t find a direct source nor image but we are quite close to doing the airborne set of tests as it had passed the ground tests as of march 9th according to Lockheed themselves (i doesn’t give a name for the quote it just says Lockheed)

So to suggest a weaponry for a jet or heli we just need to prove it that it is fully compatible? I don’t have to prove that the operator country would be buying it or have any plans to use it?

I mean we are yet to see what this patch is about. Indonesian tanks, yes. ARMs maybe. But maybe also a whole array of new top tier MBTs. Has been a while since we had a proper MBT patch

Basically yes, at that point it’s then up to the developers to choose to add or not add based on things like BR and balance.

For example the JAS39E carrying Spice bombs or the JAS39C having the AGM-65G (IR-guided) instead of just the in-service RB-75T (TV-guided) in the game.

Meamwhile F-4F TT/ICE now allowed to carry the tripple AGM-65 because we dont know if it was Possible :(

I was logic was allowed to use :(

It’s a bit all over the place actually.

I can’t access it, it tells me that “this document isn’t published”

Strange, I don’t know why it doesn’t work. This is a screenshot of the page I wanted to share (credit goes to Gszabi):

Spoiler

(hopefully it’s okay that I screenshot this. If it isn’t I will take it down again)

So would something like the Armed Black Hawk Kit be eligible or would that be break the no modification required rule?

The kit is said to be designed so it can be used without any modifications for existing UH-60’s and S-70’s with it being just bolt-on stub wings with weapons rails.

Would something like that break the rules as it give the helicopter the ability to carry weapons even though the kit itself requires no modification to the helicopter to be used?

If allowed it would give many nations an option for a helicopter with top tier munitions which they are otherwise lacking.

mmm fair, but I swear this thread had this conversation last update around the same number of dovblegs and the answer was it was too early

A weapon doesnt have to be in the operating nations possession to be considered. So long as its compatable, its up to the developers from there.
